Feels like there's a perfect storm brewing here, players lacking confidence in front of goal at a time when the fans are turning, not a good mix.
Players need to start playing on instinct, take a few risks around the box, time your passes with the intention of hurting the opposition not with the intention of trying to find the perfect opening. The number of times there appears to be an obvious pass or shooting opportunity and we hold on to the ball instead looking for something better is incredibly frustrating. I cant believe that is tactical, surely Bruno understands that slow build up and moving the ball laterally just means you're trying to break down a wall of 10 defenders who've had time to organise. I can only put it down to the mentality of the players. When we had Doherty, prime Traore, prime Jimenez and Jota in the team we seemed to understand that direct penetrative play was pretty useful when trying to score goals, timing the cut back, timing the pass, timing the shot, just basics of forward play but they're all missing from this team at the moment.
I cant see in to the mind of a player but it was so evident last night, the Jimenez one on one, couldnt decide whether to dink, shoot or take it round the keeper, ends up scuffing a weak shot well wide. Neto numerous times, had chances to play a ball in behind the defender, chose to take across the box to either shoot wide or loose possession. Podence two yards out, caught in two minds whether go with a shot or header. Can only hope new players breathe fresh life and ideas in to the team and results start to come, if not the pressure continues to grow.

Villa offer £10m for Donk, think £15m nearer the mark
€15m (£13m) accepted for Donk
Surprised at that, hope that means we have a
replacement lined up.
Don’t think Donk was in any plans, but really hope we get a better version in.
Just copying this over from other thread given we're on dendoncker...
One thing I wonder with the dendoncker, boly etc moves is that Lage is saying he needs time, players together for first time, no pre season etc. Even if b Traore and Dawson are better and better long term options (which I think they probably are) is there not an argument for some stability in the team. I don't mind them going as players and I wouldn't mind them going if we were looking likely to integrate the new players well and quickly, but given we're not and lage is saying it'll take till WC, do we want to be doing anything that isn't totally necessary that makes that harder?
Just wondering if it’s the right time yet for wolfie to review his prediction of us breaking into the top six?
😂😂😂😂
Best for both Wolves and Forest with regard to Boly. Shame about Dendonker, as I thought he did a decent job and was versatile with a good engine. But switching to a back four probably meant he would be warming the bench for most part. Other players being linked and the club obviously aware of the overseas players restrictions.
Still over 12 hours to go before we can all relax and enjoy watching us climb the table. To the top six of course.
Still waiting for my rose coloured glasses to arrive.
Always look on the bright side of life boston.
If Craig Dawson happens I reckon he will be older than Moutinho was when we signed him, by about 4 months.
Who has been older when they signed in recent times?

I tried to order you some Boston 👍
But they are only available in wolfie’s size XXXXXL 😂
Dawson deal is off. West Ham have missed out on Bednarek who is going to Villa, so wont sanction the move.

Good. Poor man's Paul Butler
Never in a hundred million years would I have called this move for Adama! Bizarre.

Why didn't we sign him? Quite liked the idea of fielding 3 Traores.
Christian Marques loaned to Forest Green
Is he the one that players the "Conor Coady"? Strange to think the back four switch sort of impacts him too.
Not too sure but he was highly regarded a couple of years back but hasn't kicked on I guess. Won't play for us at all I suspect.
Apparently Wolves now unlikely to bring in a defender and will cancel Mosqueras loan to France.

Not sure what people expected. It would be a surprise if transfer deadline day was exciting for us.
