Joe Haigh's clearly a talented lad. Shame he's not one of ours.
Could go & see them at Carrow Rd on Fri, but going to 'Steamy Dan' instead

I had been wondering if P Cocu would ever return to management or if the experience of managing Derby County has haunted him ever since. ( That, or an agreement that he can not work whilst paid severance pay as an agreement through M Morris)
Well he's returned to management in his native Holland with Vitesse Arnhem. I for one will be interested to see how he gets on. Under difficult circumstances he worked hard to make it work, showed to be a humble person who was let's not forget completely handicapped by Mel Morris' style of ownership.
Good luck to you Cocu.....and if you have any talented players you'd like to send in our direction please feel free.

Liam has left the building ....

Just to clarify - Liam has left the club as he wishes to be a manager in his own right. Pearcey has also left but nothing has ben said about Bucko.

Let's face it there was no way Liam could stay. By remaining he would have been a number four at best when we all know he will become a great manager somewhere else. Good luck to him and Jason - could be they will work together again fairly soon.
I wonder if Bucko will step back to assisting with the U21s.

Brilliant press conference with Paul Warne. Lots of searching questions all answered with directness, some humour and honesty and common sense- eg "would you have wanted Liam to stay on" ---------basically, "No because it would not have been good for either of us".
One really interesting point was PW's acknowledgement that the recruitment was not quite right in that his players are either very young or pretty old - very little in between, ie, too few players at their peak but he knew there were compelling reasons for this. He also suggested that his playing style is dictated by the type of players at his disposal and he said that he had some very good footballers available who, although they do not know it yet are also excellent athletes!
So I would say PW is as eloquent and honest as Liam but clearly more experienced. This could be an interesting ride!

From a continuity point of view it would have been great if LR could have stayed, when the time comes for Paul Warne to go, LR takes over.

I think it could be a club too far.

Just watched the presser. I thought he spoke very well and made some smart comments and observations. Was complementary about Liam and will meet him for a coffee soon apparently. Seems very level headed, time will tell of course but reasons to be optimistic of good times ahead.
