Would Haaland's numbers be different?

If he had joined a different team?

Its difficult to see him have too many blanks this season. If he plays say 50 games then the most number of blanks he can have is 10 in my opinion. He will score in the other 40. It just looks too easy for him but the question is would he be able to do this in another team?

I know some will say it's easy to score in a city team but Sterling and Jesus used to miss some of these chances or not even arrive in the box to start with in Jesus case. Besides Liverpool create as many chances as does City. The key difference is the type of chances they create. With us its a lot of cut backs into the box which is Haalands most productive area.

Makes a mockery of what a lot of people said that he is not a Pep type of player but if you look closely I don't think you will ever find a better-suited player to do what Pep wants based on the football we play.

To partly answer the question, I watched a podcast where the host suggested that the best way to stop Haaland scoring is to keep him out of the box and risk him playing on the counter and hope your sweeper keeper neutralises him.

For instance will liverpool employ a high line next week as them and arsenal are the only 2 teams capable of playing it effectively? We saw the united defenders prefer to play away from him than lose a physical battle against him. Some may say rather stay close to him and put pressure but risk losing out physically.

The key thing will be how Haaland responds to the different ways teams will try to neutralise him. I think his numbers are a bit of a sideshow. Will he be able to make a difference in a game at the Bernabéu in the semis of a CL tie?

Lisandro did get the better of him on several occasions, Haaland didn’t do much it was more his teammates.

3 goals and an assist is nothing to write home about.

Lizzy had him in the pocket of of his 'Boys 12-14' shorts.

His record would be more like it's been for his other clubs. He'd still be getting a 1 goal per game or close to record. Just look at how Mitrovic is performing for Fulham. Haaland has the added speed and height advantage on strikers like that. He is just going to get goals wherever he goes but seeing as he's at a club like City then he's getting more than a goal a game at the moment.

He averages a goal a game for Norway, he would score goals anywhere.
