Has he lost the plot? Why is he having a go at a former Liverpool player like this when all Hamann said is they need a spark
He needs to be careful. As great a job he’s done at Liverpool so far I doubt him acting like a petulant child and sitting 10th in the league will last.

Some of these ex-players are just trying to be controversial so they get more gigs, and don;t care about who they hrt or if they are talking sens or the truth. Good on Klopp!

I'm one of the first to admit that Klopp can be a bit spikey and is also a bad loser but he is absolutely spot on here imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s he ‘spot on’ about? I don’t think the interviewer’s question was out of line or disrespectful in any way, and the fact that the phrase ‘need a spark’ wasn’t his own doesn’t seem all that relevant. I can’t see what it was that so upset Klopp.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s done this before, it’s because he’s stuck up and think he’s better than the person asking him questions and that this gives him the right to treat the other person like shiiit. He’s a nasty nasty guy who hides his real personality behind smiles when he’s winning, but in this moment when Liverpool are doing badly the true Klopp comes out.

It can be true that Klopp is right, while also being true that Klopp is needlessly snapping about what is basically a pundit giving his - unqualified - opinion.
Hints to either a manager trying to distract from something or a manager feeling the strain.
Given the timing in the week, I’d assume the latter.

That it was Hamann and that a professional reporter given access to a press conference has to regurgitate someone else's thoughts. It could also be seen as needlessly bringing Hamann into the equation given the history.

OP jumping the gun and talking about Klopp not lasting. Too bad Klopp isn't going anywhere until at least 2026.

I can't imagine the 'regurgitating' being an issue - maybe he was of the same opinion as Hamann and was just hedging it in terms of 'there's a view held that Liverpool need a spark...' And would he have named Hamann if Klopp didn't ask him to?

I take your point but quoting Hamann in the question, to be me, given the history, seems needlessly incendiary.
Furthermore the reporter asked a perfectly good question afterwards. I'm of the opinion that the reporter knew exactly what he was doing.
Klopp is on record as not liking the way journalists do this kind of thing. He feels it helps end careers and makes a job that is hard and in the public eye, harder.
Can't fault him myself. Don't ask clickbait loaded questions and have a bit of integrity. Or don't but get a mildly angry response (which is all it was).

Of course the reporter knew what he was doing.
They do it every week.
The difference is that managers of Klopp’s seniority and experience don’t usually react to it, so it doesn’t make headlines.
This isn’t difficult.
