There seems to be an ongoing negative movement being carried out by Spurs fans, centered around "oh how boring it all is" narrative.
At the same time I keep seeing similar noises in nearly every media outlet.
It is a topic I just don't get.
I have, just today, seen video clips from both Jamie O'Hara and someone on the Boot Room, saying exactly the same. Both voicing their total puzzlement as to what is being said. Jamie ( bless him ) even said "just don't watch us then"
The facts are this in terms of our recent home performance over the last 10 games:
WWWWWWWWWW
Goals scored 27
Goals conceded 7
Clean sheets 5
Come on, what is there not to like.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, was more than happy when Levy put his money where his mouth is and hired Conte. At the same time everyone ( who actually knows anything about football management ) knew exactly what Conte's style of play was.
So why do these fans keep finding fault in everything. Do you want us to go back to Nuno ? or maybe go back to, say, when Ardiles was our manager and played 5 in attack, and basically relied on scoring more goals than we conceded ?
I know Sandy has followed Spurs since the 1950's. Perhaps ask him if, when we WERE the best around, did he want rid of, say Dave Mackay, because he was a no nonsense player who made sure we never lost the midfield, but didn't play nice on the eye football ?
We are currently third in the PL, level on points with the team just about everyone sees as probably the best team in Europe, and certainly agrees with the argument that they will "walk away with" the PL title.
I fully respect everyone's opinion on this forum, but can one of these negative fans please come on here and explain to me, Sandy and every other Spurs fan who is happy with how Conte has, in less than a year, transformed us into a top 3 side and got some of our supposedly dross playing some of their best football, what they don't like.
Please let us know why you think playing "nice on the eye" footie, but winning bug*er all, is your preferred option.
We all have a go at the Scousers but, to be fair, no matter how bad their team is playing, and this season so far is one of those times, always, always get 100% being their team.
Sadly, we don't do the same.
Why are people unhappy ?

the football you play would send a glass eye to sleep steve unfortunately

LOL I watched Liverpool's long ball stuff yesterday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, and they beat the team we're going to have to try to beat, and they kept Haaland quiet.
Nothing wrong with the right long balls, is there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And there's nothing wrong with how we play. If the "BEST SIDE" in the world play like Bolton FC to sneak a win at home, then why can't Spurs play however it suits it to win games?
LFC was like peak Sam Allardyce yesterday,

You may not like the way Liverpool played, but lets wait and see how we do against ManCity and Haaland, shall we?

Can't comment in that much detail but the games i've seen spurs they've been really poor and lucky to get a result. I was also at SB and still find it baffling how we didn't win by a few goals at least.
As I say, it can go two ways, this could be your rough patch and you improve unscathed, or it could show some of the worrying signs that are underlying issues.

Looks like I was spot on. Those poor performances were not manageable long term. Results were bound to start reflecting performances

True Ace, the way i've worded it was not the best but my underlying sentiment was that these perfomances were not manageable to keep getting results. You had to either improve and carry on getting wins, or carry on and youd start losing.
The latter has happened.
