The LAL Days are back but who broke them?

The 90s are back and they are sheit again. Some maybe reluctant to call time on this group of players and their manager but they are a long way from competing for the top prizes. The mistakes their defenders are making are Maguire like if not worse and the writing is on the wall. They just have an outstanding goal keeper who masks how pathetic they are.

So who broke them, own up 😅. These are the candidates:

1) Real Madrid - Think all the way back to the nonsensical Ramos Salah episode as childish Liverpool fans went on about it as if it had an bearing on the Karius sheit show. Then Vinny Jnr danced all over Trent and one of the worst Real Madrid sides eliminated them in the CL quarter finals in 2 years ago But the biggest blow was in last seasons final. Mentally that defeat in Paris mentally scarred a lot of their top players and for me el merengues delivered the coup de grace.

2) Man City - Not much to say about this but chasing a team better than you with a chip on your shoulder that makes you believe you are better can wear you down. A strong candidate as Guardiola once so loved by Scousers for stopping Sir Alex from adding to United’s European tally, now the Catalan lives in their heads.

3) Man United - That lovely August evening when a poor United who had no business winning a football match against the best team in the world showed them up for effort and fight. It was an embarrassing moment for this team of super stars.

4) FSG - The de-facto excuse for many Liverpool fans as if they don’t invest at all but losing to Leeds and Nottingham has nothing to Do with FSG. No doubt FSG could do better but they did sign the cheque for Núñez instead of a midfielder to replace leaders like Milner and Hendo.

5) The Quad - The failed attempt at landing the quad where they limped over the line in the domestic cups and ultimately relied on Diaz momentum and Mane to carry them to unlikely titles.

6) Keita and Ox - Cost a combined 100 million but have less contributions than Milner who came for free. These 2 wasters have prevented the club from rebuilding the midfield as the club thought they could get huge fees for both. The sale of Gini kick started the decline.

7) Klopp - The guy who holds it together. Never really been a tactical genius but forced to experiment because the personnel he has can’t do what he wants. Can’t legislate for Fabinho or Trent being awful but the succession planning around ineffective players has been Horrendous or is it because they need to sell first. He is quite calm about it this time , almost like he could walk away this summer.

I go for Real Madrid, just with City a close second.

Nobody respects doping but what Klopp is doing at Liverpool will go down in history.
--------------------------------------------------------
In the future what you're describing as doping will be football's norm & young fans won't realize the significance of the difference. More people will respect the dominance of Pep's City (because it'll get rarer the more money floods into the elite clubs) than Klopp's Liverpool who won everything once on a smaller budget, in the same way fans today champion the achievements of managers like Klopp over someone like Howe & the job he did at Bournemouth (as an example). That used to be celebrated a lot more than it is today, building a club from the ground up.

Klopp's Liverpool is a team for this generation, future one's won't realize how good it was (unless they care enough to study it).

I think what he means is that what Klopp is doing regarding doping (performance enhancing drugs) will go down in history.

It’s how people will look at the team sheets and wonder how they could compete with City.
