Blimey, son - don't hold back. Let it all out!

Since October 4th Man Utd rank 1st for expected goals against of 3.01 playing 4 league games and that includes an offside Kane shot XG of 0.42. We also rank 1st for XG against per game.

Liverpool rank 20th playing 5 league games and XG against of 10.33 although they only conceded 6 goals.

Just need refreshing that squad really. Obv to see their current playing squad are slow and lethargic. Also, wasted money on that £100m striker who is more expensive than Haaland but has not scored enough. Missed few easy chances too.
Think their defense has suddenly not getting the protection from an ageing midfield so are started to concede goals.

Good article. Very detailed. Like it.

Only one thing. Let's hope Sky and others read it, because this ain't the narrative they are giving out atm.

Mentioning all those Champions League finals and going toe to toe with City for so long just highlights what an incredible team Klopp built. <applause >

Point 4, the de-faqto excuse

All clubs have their own de-faqto excuse. Spurs is ENIC/LEVY...so that point is mute imo.

I'll guess at Miss Manchester United, in the Theatre of Dreams, with the Sanchford.

Plus having to bring on players like Henderson and Milner when you need a goal.

They broke themselves. They have been an unbalanced team for a while - great attacking players, weak midfield, robust defence with good full backs. Unfortunately for them the robust defence has aged/gone off the boil. They have failed to recruit to decent midfield players, and failed to refresh their defence. The concentration of their transfer business seems to be on yet more attackers. Did they really need Nunez? Not as much as they need top class midfielders. Result is being overrun by teams like Leeds for a lot of yesterday's game.

Was their defence as great as it's made out to be though?

Plenty of average teams have sliced through them over the last few years but just couldn't hit a barn door.
A game against Watford springs to mind, could've bagged 5 or 6 goals but Salah goes up the opposite end and bags one in from range with his weak foot.

Imo, their defence is made out to be far greater than it is/was, having Alison there helps massively and having their once energetic midfield and forwards helping them out with an extremely high press.

Joe Gomez having his one and only good game (ever) against Cty gave them false hope.

8) they ran out of PEDs and hit the buffers like the looters run out by Christmas... Fair play to Klopp he managed to last few good years

I genuinely think I broke them by exposing them ages ago. Everything I said about Klopp and LFC came true, so I will take the credit here because that’s what is fair

I think that the death of Liverpool has been much
exaggerated over the last couple of weeks. This article might come back and bite you.

Good spot. I wasn't able to make it that far because I'd burnt my retinas on the two de-faqtos.

Yeah, agreed, PEDs are not hard to find on black market

They’ll recover and finish in the CL places, comfortably, imo.

But I think last season is the main cause of what’s happening now.

Well that, and poor recruitment in midfield.

Mane's departure is primarily responsible. No one worked harder than him, pressing from the front and creating opportunities for others.

The other factor is the way they play. Without a large squad it is not sustainable. This is what happened to Dortmund.

Think they’re just a bit short on numbers this year and a couple of their players aren’t anywhere near their usual
form, couple that with the schedule and it’s easy to go on a bad run.

Think part of it is it isn’t usual for teams to keep the levels they have for the past five years too though. A blip like this is more normal than if they were still performing the same week in week out.
