Mourinho explains why Japan beat Germany
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3v71iFuq1bY
“I think the mentality of the players and the team can make a difference. I think in this moment in European football there is a big focus on the individual and a big focus on egos"
“People play for the team, they don’t play for themselves"
This is the difference between the old school players that thrived under z Mourinho a decade ago and won every title in the game and the modern spoiled player who only cares about himself and cannot handle Mourinhos motivation tactics and they way he pushes his player beyond their own limits to be even greater than they thought possible.

What goal posts? Which transfer window do you want to check if not the most recent one?

admit it you made an @rse of this article.
you have basically highlighted the fact that Mourinho is limited in the type of player he can coach.
He has spent a fortune at the club (one of the highest in Italy) he has the 3rd highest wage bill.
and he can only coach "old school" players effectively
his team are currently sitting in 7th and as things stand have regressed under him as they finished 6th last year

Roma don’t have a squad to win serie a. Napoli are an outstanding team currently and destroyed Liverpool. Roma have a team to finish top 4 and Mourinho has Roma in the race for top 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Napoli got rid of their best established players and gambled on young talented unknown players like Kvaratskhelia which Mourinho wouldn't take a chance on.

Thing is, many of us will have witnessed managers like Mourinho in our workplaces. Come in like a whirlwind, inspiring, driven, different, interesting, get enough success to inspire others to follow and it becomes a virtuous cycle.
Then people start taking note of the victims in the methodology, the people trampled, the people emotionally and psychologically damaged, the unlucky ones in the wrong place at the wrong time abused supposedly to drive the others. And they start looking more closely at how this person works, who picks up the pieces in the wake of this whirlwind and they take note of the damage to unfortunate individuals and they see through the mind games and some of them fack off and find a different way because there is always a different way.
Then word gets around and some employers think he can do a similar job. Word gets around players and some want to ride the whirlwind for their career and some don't want to risk being the victim, some don't give a fack for the inevitable mind games, some a too thick to know either way or have no offers and hang around to see out their departure.
Football is no different.

so with the problems of modern day footballers does Wahl think that Jose will continue to struggle and the problems will get worse.
you think his time is up? he cannot change the way he is and these modern players require different coaching methods. the modern day players are not going away , the are getting worse.
and for that reason its only a matter of time before Jose is not fit for management
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Jose will find his level where there are hungry players wanting to make a name and run through walls for him, not players who think "what, run through a wall, no way, do you know who i am? I've got a modelling contract and i might mess my hair up"
