Ive heard quite a few people and pundits saying it could be the best game of football they have ever seen, but defo not for me.
up until the 70th minute or so it was a total non event.
the utd 4-3 city game, spurs 3-5 utd game
the liverpool V milan, cl final, liverpool V newcastle game, the arsenal V liverpool 4-4 draw.
the 2 north london derbies that ended 4-4 and 5-4 to arsenal.
quite a few i can think of just off the top of my head that were far better over the entire match

You have to take in what was at stake and therefore games like the two Liverpool - Newcastle matches cannot compare.

The game wasnt great untill France got back in the game, before that France had been awful but you cant deny that after the France pen it came to life.
still don't think it was a patch on the champions league final of 2005.

1986, for starters. First WC final I can properly remember, and was a belter.
1966 too, by all accounts.
