It's Brentford

Any side can lose to Brentford considering their physicality and speed. All the top sides have. Unless you wanna invest in that aspect of the game it's meaningless reading too much into last night's result.

The top side didn't... 😏

Top sides are known end of season.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet you claim all the top sides have lost to Brentford 😂😂

Do you need a hand moving those goalposts?

Van Dijk's drop off has been a major factor. He was the best CB in the world before his injury but even last season he was one of the best CB's in the world. This season he has looked very average at times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Taking him off didn't seem to help.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True but in the past it would have made you weaker which I don't think it does anymore.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But taking him off doesn't make us weaker, which means he isn't the problem, at least not him alone. The whole team is in a bad place and if the team improves VVD will improve too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's part of the problem though. He no longer looks a leader.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Individual players are not the problem. If you're letting players through on goal several times a game, you're going to find it difficult. It's almost impossible to defend a ball behind you with a quick attacker running on to it, in acres of space. They had something like 25% possession and scored three goals and could have scored more. To play that game you need to take your chances. There's no balance in the team. It's too gung-ho.

In that case then the whole team is part of the problem, even Klopp and his team. I don't understand the need to isolate VVD in a team that is poor in nearly every aspect of the game.

'Physicality" and "speed" do not always come in one package. On the third goal, the Liverpool left back looked pretty physical but he got out maneuvered by a faster opponent. Maybe this guy is not a PL full-back?

Robertson had nothing at all to do with the 3rd goal

Maybe you were watching a different game, but I wasn't referring to Robertson, who is not a fairly large black guy, but to the player who was filling the traditional left-back position on the pitch for Liverpool for most of the second half. OR, maybe this is just another one of your usual empty sarcastic comments that often clutter up JA606?

If your comment that one of the best left backs in the world is not a PL left back is not an "empty sarcastic comment" then it's absolute stupidity.
