You just can't help but like him more and more.
Above everything for me is his ability change it up when he's facked up and deal with players the way they should be - as players not spoilt super brats. A long way to go yet but this just smells of a lot of wrongs going to be put right.
Erik
Erik ten Hag: "There was no spirit [last season]. I saw no team dynamic in the squad. The mental resilience was very low. I saw that as an outsider - and also noticed it in my first weeks at the club. I looked at the culture of the club. I asked ‘How did #mufc become great?’"
Erik ten Hag on what made #mufc great: "For me, it was about Sir Alex Ferguson. His teams excelled in togetherness, collectivity, spirit. You just couldn't beat them."
Erik ten Hag: "#mufc always had top strikers like Cantona, Cole, Sheringham, Yorke, Van Nistelrooy, van Persie - and top goalkeepers like Schmeichel, van der Sar, de Gea."
Erik ten Hag: "In the centre, there were big personalities like Jaap Stam, Vidic, Rio Ferdinand. And always a strategist in midfield... Roy Keane, the boss. Paul Scholes, a magnificent footballer and personality."
Erik ten Hag: "I think of players like Ryan Giggs or David Beckham. That’s the culture of #mufc. I looked at that very carefully and then saw that last season's team looked fragile and vulnerable."
Erik ten Hag: "We needed personalities. That's why the acquisition of Casemiro was so important. Along with Raphael Varane, we now have a second player who has experience of winning titles."
Erik ten Hag: "Malacia, Martinez, Casemiro and Antony are all fighters, while Christian Eriksen is a technical winner and a great personality. We want the best of the best. Any players we bring to #mufc must meet the highest standard."
Erik ten Hag: "I think we should be satisfied with where we are now given the bumps encountered in the early part of the season. We are not yet competitive with Manchester City, and I still see that club as a step too high at the moment."

Best presser. It looks like EtH wants to build a team rather than a collection of individuals. Sometimes the unheralded signings can be the catalyst! After all a troublesome much travelled Frenchman did OK for us 30 years ago!

And we'll forever be thankful to William Prunier for this contributions

As for ETH, goes about things the right way, to be commended, but likeable? Not sure, lacks the charisma of the greats, seems a bit mechanical, but that matters not much, the way he’s started is fine by me.

I wouldn’t say SAF was overly charismatic.

Yeah he might. Just funny he goes from Varane and Casemiro to Weghorst. I'm sure if he signs he'll score a few goals

So he’s basically said we aspire to be like City?
Fffssss Ten Moyes!

No. He has said they are ahead of us at the moment, which they are.

Really? ETH might aswell be a plank of wood next to him. Think about all the quotable material from saf, he was pretty charismatic.

Man Utd last season:
20 wins in 49 games
Man Utd this season:
20 wins in 27 games
Erik ten Hag is the fastest manager in Man Utd history to reach 20 wins.

So ETH is doing a better job of following the Fergie blueprint 😄
Good job Clev, 5 stars 👍

Tbf it really wasn't difficult any of the other managers previous, it's just I guess they wanted to be the big name for United Post SAF.
Ten Haag though

If halt the posters wetting themselves in this thread had their way, Ole would still be manager.
He is an obvious improvement on the previous manager but that isn't difficult, lets hope United push on, cement a top 4 finish, and start challenging.
