He's a proper manager and he seems to get all the details right, particularly when it comes to leadership. We've seen:

- making the players run the distance that they didn't in the loss to Brentford, and running with the players himself as well

- handling the Ronaldo situation

- phasing Casemiro in rather than drop an in-form player or appear to pander to the name/reputation/transfer fee of the player

- bench the club captain without issue

- bench Rashford due to lateness, despite being the in-form attacker right now

He's not put a foot wrong and really shown us what we've been missing in the seasons gone by.

Doing all the right things so far, let's see what happens when we have a poor run of form

It is great to start looking forward to our games after so long. ETH has done a good work up to now. However, he is not building a young team so he needs to get the next transfer right for us to have a chance of silverware, and for him to be a success. A midfield that can play with Casemiro and a striker are the main ones. If possible a better right back and If we get lucky in getting an in form Sancho on the right (Antony is a lost cause), then we will really have a great chance next season.

That bit was reminiscent of the chosen one and covers the spanking we will probably get on Saturday.

Otherwise there is a lot to like about ETH and how he goes about things.

Indeed, very happy with him, love the bloke so far

I really like him. Even with the way he interacts with players after games you get the feeling he gives the right mix of being the manager but will also put an arm around the shoulder.

Best presser. It looks like EtH wants to build a team rather than a collection of individuals. Sometimes the unheralded signings can be the catalyst! After all a troublesome much travelled Frenchman did OK for us 30 years ago!

As for ETH, goes about things the right way, to be commended, but likeable? Not sure, lacks the charisma of the greats, seems a bit mechanical, but that matters not much, the way he’s started is fine by me.

I wouldn’t say SAF was overly charismatic.

Yeah he might. Just funny he goes from Varane and Casemiro to Weghorst. I'm sure if he signs he'll score a few goals

Really? ETH might aswell be a plank of wood next to him. Think about all the quotable material from saf, he was pretty charismatic.

Man Utd last season:
20 wins in 49 games

Man Utd this season:
20 wins in 27 games

Erik ten Hag is the fastest manager in Man Utd history to reach 20 wins.

Tbf it really wasn't difficult any of the other managers previous, it's just I guess they wanted to be the big name for United Post SAF.

Ten Haag though

If halt the posters wetting themselves in this thread had their way, Ole would still be manager.

He is an obvious improvement on the previous manager but that isn't difficult, lets hope United push on, cement a top 4 finish, and start challenging.
