NLD Build Up

After all the comments about the possible QSI investment into our club this week, nothing has really been said about this weekend’s NLD (or not that I’ve seen)!

I also listened to Talksport on my way into work this morning and they had the usual betting odds chat with Coral and not a word was mentioned about the NLD!

I guess momentum will start to build over the next day or so, but I just want to kick of the conversation now!

I was thinking that last season’s home game was so big because of the Top 4 ramifications, coupled with the fact that there was lingering resentment (or anger) from our side after Arsenal inexplicably managed to get the game postponed last January.

However, this weekend’s game is of equal importance because if we win, our top 4 hopes will be boosted and we’ll make a massive dent in Arsenal’s title hopes (particularly if City beat United on Saturday). But if we lose (and City drop points, as is increasingly likely) we will be giving Arsenal a massive boost for their title ambitions and I’m not really sure they could then be stopped. We can’t have that surely!

Bearing in mind current injuries etc, my team would be as follows (with 3 in midfield):

Lloris
Royal (I can’t believe I selecting him, but I think we’ll need his defensive attributes)
Romero
Dier
Lenglet
Perisic
Hojbjerg
Bissouma
Sarr
Son
Kane

*I’m assuming that Kulusevski will only be fit enough for the bench

What are your preferred line ups?

I really do dislike Sharteta, he has a face I would love to punch.

He`s straight from the Arsene Whinger school of selective vision, a grade A mug, poncing around on the touchline, berating officials and pressurizing the referee into decisions, the bloke is almost as bad as Klopp.

It is time Sharteta was knocked down a peg or two, and had that smug smile wiped off his whiny little boat race. Hopefully it happens on Sunday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He’s an absolute belllend. Not even one of those mug oppo managers that you begrudgingly admire, just a straight up utterly unlikable facking belllend. Gets away with murder in the technical area, never compliments the oppo in interviews, cries like a girl non stop, has no identity of his own - just a wannabe little facking Pep Lite with his chinos and crew neck jumpers, and he looks like a cross between a thunderbird puppet and a Lego man with his stupid hair and face. He’s got a boat that I’d never ever get tired of punching. Facking twaat.

Kane is also two off breaking the spurs goal scoring record isnt he? Nailed on to do that in the NLD
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Needs one to match greaves I think

Can see him doing that ….two im not sure though

He will be sailing past greaves by the end of the season though
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Which then gives him the green light to leave. Beat Greaves record, unless we are winning trophies, what’s he staying at Spurs for?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely agree mate

Said it on a thread last night genuinely think he is seeing the season out to beat greaves and job done at Tottenham , he isn’t winning what he wants or deserves at Tottenham

Doesn’t want to sign a new deal by the seems (history has told us he signs early) and free at the end of the next one ….levy is cashing in

United for me ….sickens me but can see it (then back to tottenham like sheringham)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If he leaves Tottenham for money and trophies, then feck him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What other reasons would he leave for?!

Well feck him anyway if he leaves Spurs. I don't do sentiment, once he goes, then he becomes just another oppo player.

“Harry Kane causes Arsenal problems, and Arsenal cause Tottenham problems. If Tottenham want to play defensively, Arsenal will run out of ideas quickly like they did against Newcastle.

“If Tottenham play a dangerous game, however, Arsenal could run riot.

“I don’t see this game as a foregone conclusion – I hope Arsenal wipe the floor with Tottenham, but I don’t think they will. Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Arsenal.”

What exactly did he say wrong here?

Nothing. He just slurred his words

He forgot to mention that Martinelli will have a field day running riot over our defense.
Only possibilities are
1. Romero takes Martinelli out of the game,
or
2. Romero gets a red card trying to do it.

Tottenham will actually be given 2 penalties for absolutely nothing by VAR because

The north London derby could see Kane reach two major landmarks - he needs to find the net once to match Jimmy Greaves' club record of 266 goals for Spurs, and is two away from his 200th Premier League goal.

Conte has confirmed that Kulu is fit for the NLD. That's great news and hopefully he's fit enough to start.

Also, he seemed to offer a glimmer of hope that either Bentancur or Richarlson could also be fit for the game. Eveni if they're not quite ready for Sunday it's positive news that their returns are imminent

It would be hilarious if Kane broke Greaves record and got his 200th PL goal courtesy of a dodgy pen against Arsenal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile Arteta would be on the touchline beating up the Invisible Man.

Please let this happen.
