Bearing in mind some of the rumours swirling around WHL about players not wanting to renew their contracts, possible managerial problems, and the form of some of the players, then a new way forward needs to probably start this Thursday.
With the form of Lloris, time for him to be dropped. He has been a good servant, but I think his time is now up. Kane apparently does not want to sign a new contract, so pointless keep picking him going forward, if he is going to be gone next season. Start players that want to be at the club. Will have to anyway once he has gone, so may as well start on Thursday. Formation needs to change also, no ifs, no buts. It just aint working. Two CBs only, and three in midfield has to be the way forward.
Team for City
Forster
Emerson
Romero
Lenglet
Perisic
Sarr
Bentancur
PEH
Kulu
Son
Richarlison
Yes I know Son is horrendously out of form, but he usually scores against City, and is shown some loyalty, by not saying he wants out to win trophies. So until a new striker comes in, he has to start alongside Richarlison.
The rebuild starts Thursday.

Problem is that we now need...
A complete new defence (aside from Romero)
A new goalkeeper
A new striker
And that's all without upgrading in other areas like getting a creative midfielder.
It's going to cost us another £400m to get anywhere near the CL again, assuming Kane and Lloris leave. Minimum.

I do think Sandy has gone off the deep end here

Strike. Just my opinions mate. I cannot help if I am not one of the sheep. Baa

Sure and that’s fine, I’m not one of the herd either and think Levy is the biggest problem at the club.
But I think you are way out there on your own with your view on Kane.
All opinions though, not point fighting each other about it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look I have been one of Kane's biggest fans, but if he wants out, he isn't going to be any use to Spurs. So may as well accept he is going, and move on.

You are though. You're the black sheep but it's all so contrived. I think your opinions would hold more weight if occasionally you agreed with others every now and then but you don't. That can only mean one thing - what drives you is going against the grain. You think you're the Henry Fonda figure in 12 Angry Men, finding justice where others can't see it but you're not. You're more like Katie Hopkins or Lawrence Fox. Looking to antagonise rather than debate. There's no clearer evidence for that than here, where you say Kane, about to be the greatest goalscorer in the clubs near 150 year existence, is just 'okay'.
Come on Sandy. You know that not to be true. Sometimes things go beyond opinion. It's just fact. He's a legend of the club and always will be, and no shiny tin pot from the 60s is gonna change that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look it is my opinion that Kane has been OK. You may think he is Spurs greatest ever player. It's all about opinions.

Arsenal result sapped all the enthusiasm out of me. As far as I'm concerned the league campaign feels over so not really bothered who we put out. We'll still play like shiiit in the first half and no doubt be chasing the game by the second.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I feel exaclty the same...Can't wait for the season to be over unless Conte changes the way we approach games and play. Whats the point in trying to contain teams every 1st half and conceed goals in doing so then having to chase the game.
CONTE !!!!!!! - hear this loud an clear you feckin khant this system of yours only works if the players can actually play it and not conceed or gift goals to the opposition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed. Can’t even be bothered to watch the City game. Not fussed if we lose. These owners and chairman have sucked the enjoyment out of it. Jan 18th, still no signings. Shambles.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet you watch it Don.

Sorry Sandy,
Have to disagree with you on your team selection🤔
Kane is still very much a key member of the team, even if he is off (which I am unsure he is) then he should still play for us. As my monicker on here shows I am a massive and passionate fan of Jimmy, but records are there to be broken and Kane deserves his chance to do so.
Also we need to consider that if he continues to score goals at his current rate then surely his value will be at a really good level for Spurs to benefit from.
I would also pick Hugo, yes he has made mistakes (who hasn’t in the team?) but his shot stopping generally is top class. I think he may well leave in the summer and finish his playing days back in France.
I am nearly resigned to us finishing in the Europa spots and then our only way to retain CL football next year is to win the damned trophy this year!🤔😵💫🤣

Pochettino also didn't get any proper time to actually use those two new players before he left. Lo Celso was injured pre-season if I recall correctly, then went on international duty, got injured again, and then Pochettino was sacked before he got fit again.
Ndombele played a few games but Pochettino was gone before the player integrated into the team/league - which no doubt contributed to how badly he ended up settling. Then again his struggles since suggest even Pochettino might have struggled to get a consistent tune out of him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like Pochettino was going to get a tune out of either Lo Celso or Ndombele. Give your head a wobble.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you remember, Poch wasn't really playing Ndombele and everyone criticised him for it. He could clearly see he wasn't up to standard so maybe he wasn't as stupid as you make him out to be. The club was making the signings, not Poch, so you can't lay that at his door.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL the club apparently were making all the signings when Poch was in charge.
But when the other managers are in charge, they are the ones making all the signings.
What a load of bollox.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All signings are by the club and it's scouting/recruiting system. Poch was a coach, not a manager. He was asked his opinion about all the signings but it was the club that identified them. Same with Conte although he is probably a bit more opinionated with Levy and Co.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Certainly true. Even in 16/17 when he extended his deal from Head coach to Manager, Pochettino was quoted as saying, “No, we continue the same. We share the decisions, that’s why we have different departments and always at the end we have Daniel Levy to decide the things that will happen here. I feel and I think the club feel that I was manager from the first day, not only the head coach.”
It was always Levy that ultimately called the shots. It has continued that way. I think if Patrici leaves soon we all know, it is still Levy controlling the football aspects of operations.

Billy you aint getting much back on City, they are 1/3, you would have to put on £10, just to win £3.30. And always a chance they don`t win.
