For reasons i will never understand he barely gets any recognition despite a remarkable strike rate and by far the scorer of the most outstanding goals.

An attacking midfielder scoring 209 goals, almost fifty more than the 'sensational' Robert Pires.

I never ever rated him, had torrid times and made mistake after mistake against chelsea.
But each to their own. I thought he summed up what was wrong with arsenal at the time. Flattered to deceieve.

He was an animal though.

I rmemeber a fletcher looping header against chelsea. think utd won 1-0
Hazard got him the one time at the Bridge, but apart from that he dealt with Chelsea pretty well.

Yeah, he was excellent for a couple of seasons, up until his bowel diagnosis thing.

Was very close to going in my side ahead of Butty.

He was criminally underrated, even by United fans.
