Richarlison

He's been a disastrous signing.. where is he again ? Missing in action. Just as well harry has stayed fit. It feels like we've signed a jester who clowns around but doesn't actually do anything practical.

He cant be termed a bad signing yet he has only been with us 5 minutes. I personally dont know why we bought him or paid so much for him because we needed defenders a lot more than we needed another attacker but he needs to be given a chance before he gets condemned.

I seem to remember fans saying Modric and Bale were a waste of money because it took them a while to settle in.

This is a very poor take.

Genuinely, in a non patronising way, what has he done to justify the price tag whilst at Everton and at spurs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's been with us half a season. He's not first choice and was not signed to be. The season was interrupted by the World Cup (where he was one of the best strikers), and he's had a difficult injury.

I'm not saying he's a Spurs legend. But to write him off as 'a disastrous signing' and a 'colossal waste of money' at this stage is frankly laughable.

It’s the fact that he is just not very good makes him a colossal waste of money

He’s not that good.
But he’s going to have to play as our striker if Kane goes in the summer so we’ll see then tbf

Wish we’d spent 60mil on a CB and a half

We can`t write him off after half a season

The worst thing is, due to the sum we paid for him, he's with us for a loooooooong time

It isn't the price tag that makes players hard to shift, it's the wages.

If you have to take a hit on a transfer fee, you take it.

How can anyone judge Richarlison when he has hardly played? He will be fine.

And amusing how fans mention £60 million benchwarmer, when other clubs all have other more expensive players filling the bench. Especially financially doped City, and what about £70 million Pepe at the Arsewipes?

Pepe ain’t at Arsenal

60m for a 25 year old who sits on the bench is a lot any way you cut it (some hugely talented 18-21 year old player would be a different scenario).

However I highly doubt Spurs bought him for a bench role anyway and instead have plans to work him into a starting 11 for most games.

If he's not in the first 11 regularly he likely be sold while he still holds some value

Glad to see there are some sensible posters on here.

How on earth can you write him off already? We signed a striker who wants to play as a striker but we’ll never drop Kane, so he has to either play in a position that he isn’t natural at, or get ten minutes here and there at the end of games. Add to that his bad luck with injuries so far and no one has actually seen what he can do yet at spurs. Look at his CL game where we won thanks to two goals from him, and the World Cup when he was played in his natural position.

Give him a season playing regularly and then we can judge. He hasn’t chosen to be injured, benched or stuck out on the wing.

Like others, I’m not saying he’s a club legend, but give the lad a chance.
