Yup a colossal waste of money
I've commented a number of times when we were linked with him and then when we signed him that I really didn't and still don't rate him
I remember laughing my tịťs off when Everton paid £50m for him from Watford.
The worst thing is, due to the sum we paid for him, he's with us for a loooooooong time
This is a very poor take.

Genuinely, in a non patronising way, what has he done to justify the price tag whilst at Everton and at spurs?
he's hardly played for us yet give him half a chance
Based on so far....yes he's been a flop. But we'll see if this can change.

He's been with us half a season. He's not first choice and was not signed to be. The season was interrupted by the World Cup (where he was one of the best strikers), and he's had a difficult injury.
I'm not saying he's a Spurs legend. But to write him off as 'a disastrous signing' and a 'colossal waste of money' at this stage is frankly laughable.

OK Bur what's he done at Everton to warrant £60m ffs
I think throughout his career he's been very up and down. He's capable of the odd moment of brilliance but he just seems to be more focused on being a pest to opposition, wuming supporters etc as he did last night with the u21s.
He reminds me a bit of Deli Ali in a lot of his traits. He's never done it consistently anywhere. The fact he can't push son out of the team even when he's in poor form speaks volumes. 60mik certainly doesn't go far these days.

OK I'll rephrase
I dont rate him based on what he's done at Everton over a number of seasons and what I've seen at spurs
My experience of him at Everton was that he missed chances for fun, was constantly offside, and always looked busier than what he actually was by causing problems, diving about and the likes
Coupled with the fact he's a massive çůňť, safe to say I'm not a fan
He'd have to do something consistently impressive to change my opinion of him, rather than a one of game here or there where he looks alright

he scored 43 pl goals from 38.2 expected goals. he averaged less than 1 offside per game during that time which is relatively low compared to other forwards. he was feeding off scraps for a at best bang average and at worse relegation fighting side and was almost unanimously seen as their best player amongst Everton fans
Don't know why you have such a bee in your bonnet about him
Can't call him a flop based on being injured. Don't think he's had many injuries before so just been unlucky.
Imo, still the kind of signing we need if we want to progress. A quality player capable of playing across the front line. I'm sure he'll be useful this season.

We're a big club, it's how we roll.
Think he does have talent and it's not like anyone is really shining in the Spurs side this season (although statically Kane is). Everton too were hardly in a great place to showcase anyone's talents and he still showed something.
At his best he was a great player to have in your fantasy league team for the first few months of the season getting plenty of goals and some assists, then tending to do feck all after that but with better consistency you'd have a very good player.
We're a big club it's how we roll.

A big business with a big stadium,it all ends there.
TBF - Gordon is not a striker and don't think you can compare him.
Richy draws attention to himself by just being a nuisance. Kane also gets barely any service and continually finds the net without all the antics which go with it.
Reminds me of El hadj diouf needs to be in the spotlight and doesn't seem to care if it's for negative reasons.
He cant be termed a bad signing yet he has only been with us 5 minutes. I personally dont know why we bought him or paid so much for him because we needed defenders a lot more than we needed another attacker but he needs to be given a chance before he gets condemned.
I seem to remember fans saying Modric and Bale were a waste of money because it took them a while to settle in.
