Why Chelsea’s obscene January spending is just the start
You missed a word.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As a City fan you're not really qualified to open your oversized North and South over it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm more than qualified to comment on it.

No you're not!

Feck me this could go on for ages!!
People are crying because we are ahead of the curve again!!
I'm sure that the loophole will be plugged in the summer but in the meantime it would be rude to not cash in. Whether it works long term or the gamble fails, only time will tell.

It wasn't actually a loophole though 69, it was within the rules but as always if it's not Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool or United taking advantage and little ole Chelsea instead, it all of a sudden becomes a problem for the hierarchy

Fack em all Brum. Our future was always going to be assured and the fact that RA wasn't allowed to make any money from the sale, actually worked in our favour because he was able to make absolutely sure that he sold the Club to the most beneficial suitor for the Club moving forward, rather than possibly having his judgement swayed slightly by the one that made the biggest bid.

Chelsea might have deep enough pockets to continue spending in this way, but their FFP position will likely prevent it, especially if they miss out on UCL which is very likely.
They are a club who barely record a profit any way, so to add such long term cost to the club without off-setting it with sales and massively increased revenues will only see them plunge further into losses, which are limited to £60m over 3 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Previously we weren't a club looking to make a profit. Now we are looking long term. Part of the deal to buy us was that the new owners were committed to not taking any profit from the club for 10 years, yes 10 years. That's a fact. We are not a profit driven club currently. Difficult to get your head around but that is the case.

"Why Chelsea’s obscene January spending is just the start"
That's the headline in the link you supplied, fek all to do with profitable City.

I think you are confusing the headline of the link with the title of the Article.
