My major concern about wasting £100m+ outlay on Felix.
Excessive for a player who for all intents and purposes fails to provide (much) output...casualness on the ball in dangerous areas almost cost the team a goal aginst Dortmund (a brilliantly timed Chilwell intervention stopped that from happening at a crucial moment) and did cost a goal against Leicester (along with Kepa the sole reason for Leicester' big chances...he's a whole different matter, which I wont touch on as that's been done to death. Thoughts on him are well-known) + can't be overlooked how Felix had no vision to square pass to Mudryk for that chance where he hit post nor the awareness to stay onside for that square pass from Loftus-Cheek.
Lazy, schoolboy errors which wont be talked about obviously, because he's overprotected flavour of the month player. His importance has been wildly overstated.
Right to sub Felix off at HT, little flick moments doesn't outweigh or conpensate for comprehensive inadequancies / failings. GP starting to come to the realisation that Felix is not what he's cracked up to be.
Return to Sender, at the end of the season...respectfully.
Speaking of...subs, they have been 🎯👌 Each and every time Gallagher enters the pitch in the cameo appearances for Felix...makes a significant impact. That is his designated role for now.
GP knows exactly what he is doing, with the management of these players...especially the ones that are having a surge In performance. Individual player development and in-game tactical management / alterations (saw three different formations against Leicester...his hallmark, all worked) always a strong point for him.
Pre-season to work more on the collective cohesive unit and shed a bloated squad, important. This coach has a track record of elevating, maximising or extracting collective potential in various systems.

By contrast...Enzo radar for racking through-passes is absolutely stupendous.

Yes his passing is remarkable
Was it that good in World Cup?

Yep, did exhibit that variety of extensive passing distribution at the WC. (Voted player of the tournament)
Passes over the top of opposition last line of defence was a feature of Argentina's play. Alvarez benefitted from this, massively.

Good to know. I didn't see that many games
From what I have seen of him in Prem he looks more talented than Rice

I like Felix, but we have bought so many forward thinking players that another would just be pointless. He was taken off to give us more aggressiveness in midfield - which Gallagher did. But in games when you have a lot of possession, a player like Felix is a great weapon.

Enzo & Rice are different profiles of midfielders that may end up playing together and complementing each other.
Rice is more or less a box to box ball-winning midfielder.
Enzo is a tempo-setting complete playmaker.
They can co-exist in the same lineup.
Do I think re-signing Rice is or should be a priority signing for the club? Not really, but the idea of them in the team works in theory.

I still haven't made my mind up about Rice. He's not an 70m plus player. Not sure he'll develop into that special player that a lot of people seem to think he is. If we can get Kante anywhere near full fitness and release Enzo from the shackles of only defensive duties, he will show what he can do.

Yes agree. Enzo can do the lot.
Enzo-Zak pivot when Kante is injured

I'm not sure what the plan is with Zak, but there hasn't been any rumblings that the club intend to trigger the buy option.
I can only deduce based on that...he's going to be sent back to Juventus.
Andrey Santos work-permit is a certainty now for next season, with him being called-up for Brazil. He'll be in the squad come the new season.
