DPL v Stevenage

Stevenage is the epitome of the small club, not that long in the EFL, small ground and no real footballing tradition.

We have lost the capacity to be embarrassed by our mediocrity and we will no doubt slide into a subordinate role in tomorrow’s game without much resistance. Perhaps there will be some haphazard attacking because if the opposition are engaged in their own half their opportunities to besiege our goal are slightly limited. There is also the natural fear of “the unknown" which is Doncaster Rovers attacking.

The decisive factor is the number of goals we might score in the first half because Stevenage will surely take advantage of our poor second half performance guaranteed by the Head Coach’s halftime advice.

I shouldn’t be so negative I know, but how can you make a proper evaluation when there is no credible professional leadership, just the stuff of bad dreams.

3-0 to “them".

I had always assumed that Copps was sensitive man, someone who would always put Rovers and the supporters first and foremost, but he has proved me and many others wrong. His protegee is a one-dimensional failure with nothing about to him to suggest that he can even form a balanced judgement on what goes on in matches, let alone coach or manage. He can never have inspired anyone ever in his whole life.

By sticking by him, Copps is being utterly naïve and at the same time putting the future of the club in grave danger.

It is insane to put money into Schofield's hands. How on earth can we believe that the players he will choose will be any good when we know his judgement is so bad? And since he has made the current ones worse, how can we believe he will do any better with a new set?

I'm afraid that I now feel that the only way to convince the Board to get rid of him (and probably Copps too) is for them to lose all the remaining games badly.

Don't know about sensitive Donaldo, sensible is what's needed. I don't believe that he can be so daft as not to see the problem. 😐

Got to say, Stevenage are......... poor. We were they for the taking, but, they just lumped balls forward..... all game.

How can a team as poor as Stevenage be second in League 2? I did not watch much of the game as I opted to watch Chelsea lose again against Real Madrid.
No attempts on goal in the first half, and only 2 in the second half (one on target but straight at the GK). At least Chelsea had 19 shots with 6 on target.
DS has to go, and sadly, so should Copps. The thought of DS wasting TB's money is just a nightmare.
I think I may have said before that I'm cancelling my iFollow subscription. That is very sad after over 70 years of support.
I just hope someone in the hierachy read these comments.

Steve Evans knows full well that at this level hoof ball gets results but that's as far as he ever gets. DS fails miserably to understand what's needed at this level. His insistence on sticking to his 343 system when only winning 1 in 13 games speaks volumes on his suitability to manage. Trouble is nobody's listening

I see Richie Wellens has gained promotion with Orient. I guess he has the last laugh!

On the DFP I read what DS said after the game. but I have not had the guts to listen to his"words salad spew" (an expression over here used of people mot understanding what is going on, or wanting to deflect from the truth).
If he recognizes the problem, why has he not done anything about it? He has to go!
I basically do not like Steve Evans, but he obviously knows how to get an average team out of League Two!
