Clive Allen

Clive Allen is the son of Les Allen, who was in the Spurs team that won the double in 1961, and so is a middle aged Spurs man who knows about their last league triumph through stories from his dad.

He's also the hilariously sensitive inarticulate individual who called the great Arsene Wenger "two bob" for not shaking his hand after the recent NLD, which is what psychologists would call "projectionism" and "ironic behaviour" because by publicly highlighting perceived bad manners in another he's only actually achieved a demonstration of his own overtly ill mannered ways.

Also, what does "two bob" mean? i thought it meant 2 pound (i'm in USA currently, having recently emigrated, and don't have a pound symbol on this keyboard). Is he saying Wenger is cheap? Well that is undoubtedly true, but what relevance is that to handshake-gate?

Clive Allen was/is obviously convinced he's fully deserving of the utmost respect by professionals who vastly outrank him. It's sort of like a warehouse worker taking offense at the president of a rival company not sending him a birthday card.

So what is Clive Allen's problem? Is he a self-important ignoramus or is it everybody elses fault? Or is he confusing himself with being a member of the Allen dynasty that has created megastars like Keith and Lily?

Any light shed illuminates.
Proceed.

Wenger didn't shake the hands of every fan in the stadium either. Is that news?

Strange comparison?

Not really?

Can you imagine? A stadium full of Spurs fans wanting to shake Wengers hand after a 2-1 win

Mr Chelsea :

1. You can just hear it now at the Library, can't you ...

Wenger, shake my hand !!!
Wenger Wenger, shake my hand !!!
Wenger, shake my hand !!!

2. Who is going to make up the T shirts with the following logo :

"I am under 16 and shook Wengers' hand.
But I didn't inhale." <Clinton>

Allen also managed to score 49 goals in Division 1 in 1987, he was also an Arsenal player for two months having been bought from QPR for £1.25m................ However he only played in 3 pre season friendlies and was the involved in a bizarre transfer swop involving Kenny Sansom moving from Crystal Palace to Arsenal & Allen going the other way.

I don't understand why the OP hasn't mentioned much about the 90 minutes of football that preceded the Allen/Wenger handbags.
