The season hinges on this game. Win and we should be in pole position for survival.
Leeds should lose away to City, Everton to lose away at Brighton, West ham losing at home to Man U. Leicester might even lose at Fulham.
4 points clear of Everton, 3 points ahead of Leeds and Leicester. A point behind West Ham.
It’s all in our hands.
Last Game Overview:
We looked so comfortable. Whilst always likely to lose the game, it felt harsh to lose in that way.
The Good:
I don't think anoyone had a bad game.
The Bad:
The substitutions.
The Ugly:
Whatever Kouyate saw in the stands.
Special Mention:
Danilo again. Let’s hope he’s fit.
Overall Record:
Currently we stand at W51 D27 L39
Injuries / Signings:
Boly and Henderson. Potentially Danilo, Johnson and Scarpa to also miss out.
Form:
Forest Home Form – W1 D3 L2 GF8 GA9
S.Ampton Away Form – W1 D2 L3 GF5 GA8
Forest are 0.5 PPG over the last ten games. Southampton are 0.6 PPG.
Team:
Navas
Aurier Felipe Niakhate Lodi
Mangala Danilo Yates
MGW Awoniyi
Johnson
Prediction:
It just has to be a Forest win. The form, our best starting XI (pretty much) available…the atmosphere. 3-1 to Forest - with it all being a bit much for everyone!

We won’t win either of the away games. We are awful
Away from home. We only get home points because of the crowd really. If we concede 3 goals at home to Southampton what do you think Chelsea and Palace will do to us? We will be lucky to pick up a point.
I think our best bet is Arsenal at home. Seem to often do ok against them and if we can get a bit of luck and get a goal ahead, you never know. I think that’s our best hope.
Anything can happen though to be fair. I am sure there will be some twist and turns to come yet

Entertaining match, if a little hard on the heart and general nervous system.
Felipe's goal was so well taken it should have stood. VAR has no soul. Still, 3 points was the main thing and we managed it with some superb goals.

I’ve always been useless at predicting results and the results in general this season have been far from predictable so I give up!
If Forest can win one of their remaining 3 games, that will probably be enough. Don’t ask me which one. If the away form was even indifferent, you’d be able to say that Chelsea and Palace aren’t that tough but expecting to suddenly get results away from home now when they’ve been awful all season just seems too much of a fantasy. Yet I feel we will get one last away victory before the season ends
Done the double over the Saints, why not Palace too? Not that any of us really want it to go to the last game needing a win

I've taken heart from our performances away...we were very competitive against Villa (another error to put them one up), Liverpool (could have had a draw) and Brentford (unlucky with injuries).
Prior to those three games I would agree with you, not any more.
Chelsea and Palace both a level below (currently) than what we have recently played.
Plus, Southampton were playing for their survival.
Chelsea can't qualify for Europe and I highly doubt they have bonuses for finishing in the top ten.
Palace might, and they have been revitalised under Hodgson.
Not long to find out!

We concede 2 goals at least in every single away game. I agree, we have been playing better, it don’t see any points away sadly. That being said, I could well be wrong and I hope I am. We will be attacking with confidence and that might make teams more weary. Chelsea hopefully won’t be such a threat from set pieces which will help.

Recently we have, but we have picked up six points away this season:
Everton D 1-1
Wolves L 1-0
Brighton D 0-0
Southampton W 1-0
Bournemouth D1-1
All where the opposition didn't score more than two goals.

Wonder if we’ll revert back to a back 3 for Chelsea? We seemed very open last night even with 3 defensive midfielders. Wouldn’t want to drop any of the front 3 though.

That was tense.
I had hoped our stats would have been better. I think the way we invite teams on to us is a dangerous game. For a team as poor as Soton to score three away from home means questions have to be asked. Fortunately their defending (on an error inducing pitch) was as poor and error strewn as ours.
Felipe and Niakhate were very good again, but our FBs didn’t defend very well.
Good to see Yates starting but he was off the pace, and what was he complaining about after their penalty? Mangala and Danilo were good with the ball but I think the positioning of the midfielders when we didn’t have the ball could have been better.
Johnno, Taiwo, and MGW always looked threatening and showed good understanding.
We deserved the win, and I think (hope) one more point might be enough.
We need a RB for Saturday (or WB). It could be our Achilles heel.

Might have been after their second goal he was complaining.
