Yep it all hinges on this game, as strikestream very shrewdly points out. I have seen a comment somewhere that Danilo has been seen training.

I'm not sure that a non match fit Ryan Yates will do more than sit on the bench.

The Guardian were suggesting that Coopers job is under threat again, but I dismiss that as just a sensation creating journo' the goal from the F/K wouldn't have squeezed around the wall if the idiot on the end [Kouyate ?] hadn't jumped out of the way.
Cooper took off Jono because he's carrying a injury still I suspect.
If any manager can build a relaxed confident team to go out and get a win against Southampton it has to be Cooper.
This is possibly an appropriate time to recall Forests famous victory over the Saints at Wembley very many years ago in the League Cup.
Talk about a game of two halves! As we now know they only sobered up at half time after their night on the town the night before!
Unlike back then this Southampton team isn't full of England players who will be expecting to win, so the crowd can roar Forest on for the win [ fingers crossed]

Realistically this is our best chance of 3 points from our remaining games, i don’t expect anything from Chelsea or Arsenal, with the possibility of 1 or 3 points at Palace on the last day.
My fear for the Southampton game is, we’ve had numerous ‘must win’ games, Everton, Wolves to name a couple, and we haven’t won them.
First goal against Southampton will be vital, they certainly aren’t a team that’s going to lie down, they showed that at Arsenal.
If we impose ourselves early on, we can definitely win, but if we sit back, we could be in trouble.
Hopefully Danilo will be fit, along with Johnson, and Yates will start, these will give us a big boost.
I’m still far from convinced by Awoniyi, but think teams like Southampton are his best bet of getting goals.
With everything crossed, yet again, I’m going for a Garibaldi 3-1 win.
RFB mentions above that, yet again, Coopers job is in the balance, what would be the point, 3 games left, just leave him to do his job and get behind him, its even re-assuring to think we’ve had a manager in charge for a full season, even if that season ends is relegation. Relegation does not mean failure, it just means we weren’t quite good enough on this occasion, but like many other teams, we’ll comeback stronger.
I thoroughly believe in Cooper and his plan, and back him 100%, no ifs no buts, like the rest of us, he is learning, and to me that is all you can ask.

Really hope we win.

But whenever there's a must win game we always slip on the proverbial banana 🍌 skin !!

We need to be on the front foot from the off..

Probably will be one of our most intense games in decades given what's at stake.

Whatever happens…we won’t be playing Derby next season.

Just noticed that!

Popped onto their board and apparently it’s the ref and linesmen’s fault… makes a change from blaming Middlesbrough and Wycombe I guess!

Also note that they think they have overachieved this year, strange because when I look at their team is full of names I recognised from the Championship, for the standard of football an embarrassment of riches in comparison to most!

It’s now looking like any 3 from five, after West Ham beat Utd 1-0, putting them on 37 points, imo they’re now safe.
IF we win tomorrow, I’d say two from four, as Southampton on 24 points would be almost certainly down.
Other than Leicester’s goal difference, there isn’t much between the rest.
Tomorrow now doesn’t feel like a 6 pointer, it feels almost like a relegation play off, mainly because as I’ve said earlier, i don’t see us getting much out of the last 3 games, possibly a point at Palace.
By tomorrow night we should have a real good indication of what will be required.
Just hope the pressure doesn’t get to the boys.

Red and white stripes, and all that.

I agree with your team ‘chile, although I think Kouyate could start with Yates on the bench.

We’ve beaten L’pool, spurs, and Brighton at home and drawn with Man City. There is no way we should lose this one.

But we need to be 100% positive, we have to be winning the ball higher up the pitch as we did for Danilo’s goal against Brighton; and we need at least 50% possession.

We have had good performances against Brighton and Brentford (last 10 minutes excepted). If we play at the same level we’ll be fine.

It gets more embarrassing doesn’t it. Oh…it’s the EFLs fault (when they cheated for years), then the player / ref’s fault (when they foul for a penalty).

If we go down it will be a combination of injuries and VAR….plus and most importantly, we weren’t good enough over the season.

A shame West Ham won!

West Ham result is a shame, partially because they are safe but also because they still play Leeds and Leicester and I hoped they would be fighting for their lives in those games

Tomorrow is simple - beat Southampton and they are 9 points behind with only 9 available - one team ticked off plus puts our fate in our own hands with 3 games to go.

Fulham did the job over Leicester but Everton are having a blinder. They don’t look like a team going down. We absolutely have to win and if we don’t then we deserve to go down.

Everton 4-0 up away to Brighton!

we have to win, fortunately a strong team out tonight

Yates at right wing back according to BBC, I thought Ryan was left footed?

No it’s 4 at back and Yates in midfield surely

Definitely 4-3-3

Boly on the bench is a nice surprise

Win and we have a great chance of staying up
Draw and it somehow still stays in our hands but with tough games left
Lose and it’s Championship next season

I was hoping a few weeks ago that we could get 38 points and stay up. 34 might be enough now

Well looks like the best 11 we could put out right now. I just hope we have learnt from Brighton at home and play to win rather than contain. A win tonight and I think Leeds and Leicester become favourites to join Southampton in going down.

You'd really hope they don't need to be told but given how many times we have done it this season....

Looks a good team but unsure about changing a formation that has made us look a bit more solid. Let’s hope it pays off 🙏

Yeah, same story, the opposition having more of the ball
