It seems talks have resumed with Nagelsmann. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I was gutted when he/we pulled out originally but, in retrospect, the very fact he was cautious and luke warm on the prospect, we’re reasons alone to run for the hills. Brilliant manager but I really want someone that wants to be here and all the noises are that Slot really, really wants the gig. I’d rather gamble on someone that’s yet to tested on a top team, than one that considers us beneath him.
I should be ecstatic at this news but I’m not. The fall out the first time around has tarnished things for me. If he had other major options do you really think Nagelsmann would be looking twice at us? Not a chance. Which was exactly the same position we were in when Conte joined. It’s a worry. Saying that, I can’t whinge. If the choice is between Nagelsmann or Slot then we’ve done well.

Levy wanted Nagelsmann before he went to Bayern, definitely sniffing about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The time for sniffing around is over....... Spurs need to make some facking decisions..... Levy's incompetence by hiring Stellini and then Mason cost us any chance we had of top 4 and now likely any European football.
Proper clubs are already making moves/ planning squads ahead of next season. You saw what happened at Liverpool yesterday.... Firminho, Miler, Ox, Keita all know they are leaving. Talk that City already have a deal in place for Gvardiol....sounds like Laporte, Gundogan & Bernardo Silva might be leaving this year.... yet Spurs are till fumbling around in the dark being linked to every man and his dog... Shambles

Hope Leeds beat West Ham and Brighton beat Saints today just to ramp up the pressure on this mess of a club for next weekend.
I can't wait to see how Sanchez, Davies, Lenglet & co handle a fired up Elland Road on the last day needing a win to stay up !!!
The only thing that might stop Spurs finishing 9th is City taking their foot off the gas vs Brentford ahead of an FA Cup and CL finals....... Pathetic

It’s because we don’t look for winners. We look for people willing to work under levy’s incompetence and Enics restrictions. Those people are harder to find.

Yep, Levy wants a Yes Man who will ask no questions, he does not want somebody who will put pressure on him to show some ambition and rock his comfy little apple cart. It's Levy's way or no way, which is why this club has won 1 poxy League Cup in 22 years of ENIC'S miserable tenure.

If he wants a Director of Football confirmed then do it you bald idiot! If Nagelsmann wants Jesus as DOF then get that man resurrected.. Bayern were fools to sack him for Tuchel and its shown in their results.

A demanding manager will continue to demand of the board until they no longer want to, which is where we ended up with Conte. It’s not unambitious to prefer a candidate like Slot, who will fit the puzzle more seamlessly. It’s sensible given the club restrictions. There’s no such thing as a good or bad manager, just the right manager. It’s about the fit more than anything else. We should have learned some harsh lessons on that subject over the last 4 years. Falling for Nagelsmann is to once again be charmed by the glamour appointment, rather than the rational one.

Oh by the way, when I say a demanding manager isn’t right, I only mean of the board, not the players. Of course, a manager needs to be demanding of his players. That’s a different thing entirely.

That's absolute nonesense, Arne Slot will either become demanding of the board or get fired. Levy wants managers to perform miracles. Best thing that could ever happen is a club sale.

There is a reason why Levy is prepared to pay top managers £15m a year, because it is cheaper than replacing sub standard players, and in Levy`s eyes these top coaches can turn Davinson Sanchez into Baresi and Ben Davies into Maldini.
Levy had the perfect manager in Poch until he started to demand a rebuild, at which point Levy sacked him. Levy wants a miracle worker who can build a team on a budget.

All moot now anyway. The reports were bullshiiiiiit! Full steam ahead on the Slot train!!!!!
