Nagelsmann back on??

Shades of Conte to me.

If he comes will most likely end in tears within 24 months.

🤦🏾🤷🏽

Just get Slot if the guy is eager and willing to come. Not someone who was said to be set on Chelsea and then only when he got snubbed gave us a thought.

Nagelsmann definitely has an air of arrogance around him (not necessarily a bad thing) but could more than likely go tats with us.

Exactly that. I wouldn’t be against him because he plays better football than Conte and is a project man but I agree, I’m done with people that don’t want to be here. That should be the number one priority, really.

Some people are saying that the source for this info is Duncan Castles, who many regard as Tier 2, not Tier 1 when it comes the Spurs info so I’d take it with a pinch of salt.

The interview with Slot yesterday was very telling. He spoke like a man that had already agreed the deal.

Hang on, when is the date for season ticket renewals? Is this just another in a long line of Levy PR stunts to drive up sales? Shameless cuuuunt.

Slot has a whiff of the Christian Gross`s about him, unproven outside of a Mickey Mouse league and unproven in the CL.

I would rather have somebody proven in a competitive league than somebody desperate to come because it is a massive step up.

Out of a choice between the 2 I would prefer Nagelsmann.

I just want them to get the hell on with appointing someone. The club is in free fall

Football is a pretty simple game really. It doesn’t matter how tactically aware you are, if your character is abrasive and you can’t get the players inside, it doesn’t matter what plan you have. As good as Nagelsmann appears to be, there’s absolutely no denying that, if you do your research, players LOVE Slot. At both Feyenoord and AZ. I feel like we need a bit of that now. An arm around the shoulder type that can get players running through brick walls for him.

Nagelsmann is the glamour appointment.
Slot is the correct appointment.

I’m fickle so my opinion may change 😂 but right now I have a bad feeling that Nagelsmann might be a repeat of the same old mistakes. Crazy because I would never have said that a couple of weeks ago. The time away from him being a possibility gave me a little clarity on it. Good manager but a club like Spurs in its current state will make him explode. He’s the type of manager that needs a well run ship around him to work. I don’t get that feeling with Slot. In fact, when he took over Feyenoord, they were in crisis a little bit themselves.

Nagelsmann has been my top choice since day (with Slot 2, and Poch 3 if you're asking...), so I'm pleased if this rumour is true and he's back in the frame.

I'll be over the moon with either of him or Slot. Although both are different in a lot of ways, I think they both would bring a lot of what this club desperately needs right now. And if it's true about Nagelsmann, it suggests to me that he was very clear in what he needed to be a success at the club, but Levy initially baulked at it, but is now prepared do get it done.

They were always my top three too so as long as it’s one of the two left standing then I’m happy.

I disagree slightly with your last statement though. If Levy is baulking at his demands before he’s even got the job, does that not tell you that it’s another marriage made in hell? We all thought he’d change his ways for Conte and he didn’t so he won’t for Nagelsmann either. Levy needs a diplomatic style manager in order to thrive. A demanding one and he fights back and there’s only ever one winner.

In a way, if this is a reaction to today’s result, it’s bad news because it means he’s reacting without thought. If he applied logic, Slot is the answer. Apply panic and you hire Nagelsmann just to get the fans back onside.

When Nagelsmann was originally linked with the job it was said that he was only interested if we qualified for the cl. That was either untrue or he's had a serious change of heart, either way whoever gets it will join us at a time when we have no Euro footie (for the first time in years) and are on the verge of losing Kane.

To my mind this is a good thing because they will be under no illusions as to where we are at and it lessens the chances of us getting some t0sser who thinks he's bigger than the club.

Don’t want Nagelsmann - It just won’t work as we won’t give him what he needs.

Slot is the man - people don’t realise what a mess Feyenoord were when he took over, the Dutch media thought he was made for taking them on - 2 seasons, a Euro farmers final, Europa Quarters and the Eredivisie title whilst spending peanuts and his teams play great football.

Slot is the very best we can get in reality - if it was going to happen there would be strong noises the week just gone as he hd just wrapped up the title, and that’s exactly what we got, very strong indications it happening - will be done in a fortnight

Kind of got my heart set on Slot now too but you just don't know what Levy is gonna do.

Not sure what to believe (not the press) but i don't trust Levy to do the right thing/ make the right decision.... i wouldn't trust him to run a bath.

Any manager with an ounce of common sense would run a mile from Spurs.... Levy is a manger killer !!!

I fear we'll end up with Mason or Rogers

My bet is either this is complete ballacks being leaked so the last game of the season isn't completely toxic. Or we're just doing another Conte where we'll convince him to come by paying way over the odds. His heart won't be in it but he'll do enough to not ruin his reputation while making sure he gets sacked after a season

It’s bollox being spouted by some journo chasing headlines - Levy is not paying £20m compo to Bayern, hiring Nagelsmann choice of DOF, his back room staff and buying all the players he wants - quarter of a million in the first season alone

It will be Slot the week after the Leeds game and he will be given little to spend this first summer in my opinion as Levy will w at him to prove himself

Nagelsmann tactics suits our current set of players more than Slot, we could really see Porro and Udogie shine under Nagelsmann.

You're probably right. I should learn to never be optimistic about any decisions involving Levy....

Even if the new manager is successful, there will come a point when we are fourth that just a little more investment might see us win something. You know ENIC won’t go for it.
