Morning lads
Fabrizio Romano reporting this morning that weβre very close to singing David Raya from Brentford. Whilst there is a huge amount of work needing doing on our squad, this would be an excellent early addition.
Tottenham and Brentford, discussing on final fee for David Raya to join Spurs β the goalkeeper wants the move. Talks ongoing. π¨βͺοΈ #THFC
Raya will not extend the contract in any case β been very clear with Brentford.
Personal terms 100% agreed with Spurs as called on Sunday
I still have a nasty feeling that either Utd or Chelsea will jump in last minute π
COYS

The difference between Kane and Raya is that Raya has told Brentford he is leaving no matter and they have a replacement lined up.
Has Kane done the same? He might look at Man City and think, what is the point of going to another club in the prem?
I haven't seen any reports to suggest personal terms have been agreed with another club.
Both cases are at different stages.

By the vert of the The statement we’re very close to signing "" .... means we aren't.
We have a long track record of this BS now so until you see any player holding up a spurs shirt then it's safe to assume no we have not signed him.
The story will probably run until transfer deadline day and the club will announce we tried and we were close.
knowing old Levy as we do he will have suggested something daft in any chat like If Brentford get eurpoe or win a cup they have to pay us back 10m of the transfer fee.....twat.

I can't say I've paid too much attention to him at Brentford. He seems to have more fans than Pickford though, and those are basically the 2 we'd be looking at for a new keeper.
Is he a good leader/communicator?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is excellent with the ball at his feet, which is essential these days. Sadly for Lloris, this was a major weakness which he was never going to overcome π€

Genius
Yes this will be one of the more important things considering this is how Ange will want to play. The wrong sort of keeper for this style could hold us back a lot.

If Ange could play his type of football with Joe Hart then Raya should be able to.

I think you can get away with Joe Hart in the Scottish League and play that way. Would need someone more reliable for the PL.

Spurs might have finally got a decent manager that suits the sort of long term project actually worth pursuing.
But it's going to be tricky, he's inheriting a squad of dross put together by defensive managers. While Kane is obviously a great player, it may well be worth accepting 60m-100m before he leaves on a free next season. That money might be crucial to assembling at least a few players to compliment the managers style.
I think almost regardless of whether Spurs show serious progression next season, Kane will leave. He's given everything for Spurs and wants to join a top club (I mean proper top clubs, Bayern/Madrid/Sort of United)

I disagree.
