As a United fan, there's an obvious dislike to Gerrard. However, I recognise he was a great player, and based on ability alone, would have had him in the Utd team no problem. I have always felt that most great players struggle to be good mangers, and this job choice seems to be a strange one to say the least. Does he really need the money? Even dropping to the championship for a job would help develop him better.
