Prem football back tonight

and although I am fast losing interest in football in general, only a matter of time before the game implodes with the Saudis now involved. I am still very much invested in Spurs, and am eagerly looking forward to Sunday`s game at Brentford, where the new look Tottenham will be on display. New goalie, new CB, new revamped midfield.

I expect a cracking season from the new look Spurs, goals for fun, defence a lot tighter, three new additions from last season, goalie, left back and CB, will make a huge difference. Midfield looks tasty, and should be creating so many chances for whoever is up front. I wouldn`t be surprised if Spurs don`t go close to 100 Prem goals this season for the first time since the 60s.

I have deliberately kept clear of the Harry Kane nonsense the past few days. Frankly I am bored silly with it, and really do not care what happens. I support Tottenham not Harry Kane FC. Spurs will continue long after Kane has gone, and will flourish, as they have always done, when some of their better players have left. I believe the dressing may also heave a big sigh of relief if Kane does go. It cannot be right that one player is talked up all the time to the detriment to the rest of the team. I think Kane has become a Billy Big Bollox, and it all seems about him now. The rest of the squad must be right peeed off, with Kane, Kane, Kane all of the time. And always remember every trophy Spurs have ever won in their history, was won without Harry Kane. Just a thought, Kane goes, Spurs win trophies again.

Personally now I don`t give a monkeys where Kane goes. My only interest is THFC, as it will be for the coming season. I think Spurs will get their top four place back and finally add a domestic trophy for what it is worth. Big squad, one game a week for a fair part of the season, everything in place to really push on.

So COYS for season 2023/24.

For someone uninterested in the Kane saga, you sure have a lot to say about him.

Firstly, I don't care that he's going, we should ALWAYS have huge respect for what he did with us yet the plane has barely left the ground and you're describing him as a billy big bolllllocks. Sorry, what? He's nothing of the sort. He asked to leave in 2021 and in the end respected his contract. He stayed silent on the whole thing for two years and now he's leaving, with dignity, and a virtual guard of honour from every fan worldwide. He's done nothing to suggest he's Billy BB. You're confusing media hysteria with personal arrogance. He's not Ronaldo. He's not done some pointless interview with that infected sccrotum, Pier Morgan.

It sounds to me like you're just hurting cos he's gone. Well we all are but players come and go. Personally, and I know it's an unpopular opinion, we were right to sell him SO LONG as that money gets reinvested in the team. That's where the doubt is for me.

Kane isn't leaving because he wants to. He's leaving because he had to. We didn't match his ambition. Don't blame Kane. Blame Levy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Like I said Billy big bollox. Never turned up in semis or finals. Took the captaincy, went on tour despite knowing he was off. Didn't care about all the young kids still badgering their Dads to buy his shirt, then walks out on opening day of the season. Looks like Judas mark Ii to me. Always only been about brand Kane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, sandy you have taken this badly!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Couldn't care less either way. Thus has never been about Spurs though, always been about brand Kane.

We move on. Hopefully all the fans do as well. We don't want fans pining for Kane like they did for Pochettino.

New beginning Sunday, really looking forward to it.

I’m with Fridgeboy on this Sandy sorry. I think you just pretend it doesn’t matter to make yourself feel better. Like a false sense of security. We lose 30 goals mate, so unless we are signing a replacement ( not Richarlison ) how do we replace that?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don, are we going to play without a striker then? Don't you think another striker won't score as well? That's usually how football works.

Yes a new striker may not get Kane numbers, but with better defenders and midfielders it probably won't matter. Goals will just be spread around more, like other teams do.

Spurs will survive fine without Kane. Probably do better.

Your beloved Jimmy Greaves left Spurs to join West Ham, Sandy. That’s far worse, particularly when you factor in that he wasn’t one of our own and a Chelsea product.

Show some feckin respect. Honestly, you criticise others for not being good enough fans yet you don’t even have the decency to honour our greatest ever striker. Some fan you are. Our ex players are still part of the fabric and history of the club, least of all the top goal scorer.

At this point I think you’re just out to antagonise. Why don’t you write something you actually believe in rather than something deliberately inflammatory. In principle, you’re doing the same thing as Laurence Fox. What lovely company you keep.

Jimmy Greavrs delivered trophies for Spurs, and was at the end of his career. He was different gravy to Kane, and never actually wanted to leave Spurs. He was just part of the deal to bring Martin Peters to WHL. He never was bigger than the club, like Kane thinks he is.

Learn your Spurs history Fridge.

We will move on obviously in the end but a bit of respect Sandy. You respect Jimmy Greaves, so why can’t you respect our all time record goal scorer? He will go down in history Sandy.

After all the things you said to me about my posts that Kane was leaving for Bayern.........
you have the lying, barefaced gall to say you don't care?

So Kane is turning out for the Brentford game, is he?

Sandy, you have tarnished your image on this website to the extent that nobody will believe anything you say.
And you should be man enough to apologize for that!
But you aren't, are you?
