Since Sir Alex’s retirement, we’ve been signing expensive players based on their achievements in other teams whose tradition or system of play was different from ours, or on the hype created around them by the media. We can all see that it didn’t work. Most of those players are gone, and those who are still around, it’s because nobody thinks they are worth the ridiculous money we pay them.
With Ten Hag, we have someone who knows what he wants and who chooses players based on their ability to fit into his system. Players who are ready to fight and give everything for the club and the fans. None of his signings is lazy or petulant. And what is important is that all of them wanted to play for us, players for whom wearing a United shirt means something.
So to those fans who don’t agree with ETH’s signings (and to those who expect him to be sacked by the end of the season), I say why don’t you give him time to integrate those players in his system, instead of writing them off after three games? Sometimes, I wonder whether these fellows are truly United fans or just pretending.

Nah. Too young to carry the responsibility of a huge transfer fee and playing for a huge club. 😏

If the manager wanted Kane, we should have got him.
He wanted out. The club wanted to sell. £110-120m? OK.
His goals would have made a HUGE difference to ETHs time with us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s a difference between “he wanted out” and “wanted to come to United”. Levi would rather lose money than sell his best player to United.

That’s precisely what I’m trying to explain to you. Kane did not say “I want to go to United” to force Levi to accept to sell it to us. Carrick and Berbatov did.

What system?
He has no system, he has no system or style of play.
He's bought a player who's played exclusively as a ten his career (and not very well at that) and tried to shoehorn him into central midfield.
Certain managers come in and you see an almost immediate vision of what they are trying to achieve, we saw it with klopp and you can see it with ange at spurs.
It's 12 months later and we're not close to knowing what Erik actually wants to do because their is nothing there.
Add to the fact his signings have been on the whole poor and it's not looking good is it.

Because he did sell. And for less than we would have surely paid.

But he didn't sell to us. So it's an assumption, not a fact.
