Can you explain to me the signing of Maguire? The media were comparing him to VVD.

The only signing I don't get is Mount.

At the time I said we'd just have to trust Ten Hag's judgement, and that he obviously had a plan for Mount.

But even though it's early days it looks like the plan is to change our formation in order to accommodate Mount and play him in a position that isn't his best, while making things harder for both Bruno and Casemiro.

As I said, very early days, but I reckon there must already be some rethink going on regarding Mount's role.

What system?

He has no system, he has no system or style of play.

He's bought a player who's played exclusively as a ten his career (and not very well at that) and tried to shoehorn him into central midfield.

Certain managers come in and you see an almost immediate vision of what they are trying to achieve, we saw it with klopp and you can see it with ange at spurs.

It's 12 months later and we're not close to knowing what Erik actually wants to do because their is nothing there.

Add to the fact his signings have been on the whole poor and it's not looking good is it.

No, why dont you back up with some sources that United bought Maguire based on media reports. You make that claim, not me.

Agree with this. United should have been miles better than you have played at this point. Not sure why ETH cant get a tune out of the squad at this point. He did it at Utrecht and Ajax, but United seem to be a graveyard for talented players and coaches. Its unreal at this point.

Ten Hag has done a great job. Just that we have poor players letting him down upfront.

Really good last season, 3rd, trophy, final.
We've played three games this season, won two while trying to assimilate new players, with more to be fitted in. And you think it's unreal.

Don’t forget the state in which he found the squad. Ragnick said United needed a heart surgery and ten players needed to leave, not because they lacked talent, but because they lacked the desire and the will to fight for the club and the fans. During Ole’s last year as manager, certain starting players didn’t even bothered by a home defeat to Liverpool or City.

Ragnick said United needed a heart surgery and ten players needed to leave - no, he didn't

not because they lacked talent, but because they lacked the desire and the will to fight for the club and the fans - rangnick didn't say that

During Ole’s last year as manager, certain starting players didn’t even bothered by a home defeat to Liverpool or City - of the starting 11 in those games, we have only got rid of 2 (3 if we include greenwood)

That’s what he meant by saying “they lack the physicality…” a word he used a number of times to imply the desire to press, to run and to fight for the ball.

As it goes, he doesn't by the looks of it.

The club has terrible forwards undoing his plan. Man City today scored 5 goals from 7 shots. I believe since Ten Hag took the job we score 5 goals every 88 shots consistently. We massively outshot Man City last season in the premierleague and fa cup whole tournament but struggled for goals. If we shot as low amount as Man City Ten Hag would have been sacked.

So what was Erik's answer to that?

To buy a striker who is unproven and scored 10 goals last season
