Declan Rice - Bottle Gone or Back Spasm?

You decide….

“Arsenal have been given a welcome lift with the news that Declan Rice’s injury is not serious. The midfielder was withdrawn at half-time in the draw with Tottenham on Sunday but is understood to have experienced a back spasm and hopes to be back for the visit to Bournemouth on Saturday."

"It will be a relief for Mikel Arteta, who admitted it was “strange" to see a player of Rice’s robustness have to be substituted."

We were largely the dominant team while he was on the pitch. "Bottling it" doesn't really make sense.

But I know spurs fans have a love hate relationship with that phrase.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Spurs scored with Rice on the pitch and with him off the pitch.

Don't think Rice made much difference. In fact he was statuesque as Son darted in to score his first.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You were dominated for the vast majority of the time rice was in the pitch. It was more even when he went off.

I agree with Gary Neville, arsenal win that game if Rice stayed on. Ifs, buts and maybes though, spurs got a fantastic result for them and arsenal were left frustrated.

Spurs celebrating a draw - Arsenal gutted about the draw.

Right there is the difference between the 2 clubs.

1961 hahaha pathetic

Here he is! Fresh from his bold prediction of Woolwich battering us. Now he is playing the "celebrating a draw card" in a desperate attempt to hold on to his delusional arrogance.

You thought all you had to do was turn up. Bottled the lead twice after we gave you two gifts 🤡🤣.

Good energy lad

Just like Woolwich bottled the league last season, Rice gave up at HT. I don't remember him ever doing that for West Ham. Interesting...

Talk about celebrating a draw
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Win you home games (something Arsenal seem incapable of doing, after two home draws in just four home matches), and get something from an away match, and you are pretty well guaranteed a successful season.

I don't think getting a point or three in one away fixture out of 19 is going to guarantee a successful season tbh.

Win 14 and draw 5 away games and you win the title even if you lose 3 and draw 4 home games...

I was referring to Sandy's grammatical skillset - or rather, lack of it.

An away match, as in, one.
