We seem to be missing the ‘thoughts’ on today’s after-match thread.
Anyway … I thought today’s result put down a real marker of our intent this season. 2-0 down at half-time and I was expecting the worst … but then the Farke man Cometh!
What inspired subs at just the right time and a deserved win to boot. I’m so delighted for DF for a number of reasons. He’s doing a very good job for us and long may it continue.
I just wanted to share one thought about young Archie at full-back. I know I ribbed posters in Earl’s match-day thread about this, but I do agree - Archie should be played in the middle from now on please.
Piroe was rather inconspicuous again so that means he’s on for a couple against Stoke on Wednesday. If he can do that, he’s ok for me.
Dan James played very well and of course, Cry was the star of the show. What a talent and so glad we kept him.
Really delighted with 3rd in the table atm and think we have real chance now of chasing down Ipswich.
Anyways, there’s some of my thoughts from today’s game … fill yer boots😁.
As a respectful postscript - RIP Sir Bobby Charlton.

I still think 100 points is a dream Don but I get your point about us being better than the rest (excepting Leicester) … I’ve certainly been guilty of that, maybe conditioned over many decades😁. I’m still rooting for your prediction of only 4 losses this season. Now that would be some achievement👍

Good full backs? I take it that you're referring to Spence rather than Firpo?
Byram seems to be dependable at LB. Gray had a tough game at RB yesterday but maybe he's just playing too much - he played for England three times, I think.
20pts from the last nine games is promotion form. However, yesterday's win, coming from two down at HT to win it in injury time, could be considered as drawing a very clear line in the sand. We've definitely turned the corner under Farke and the new ownership.
I'm really buzzing today!

Got to agree re Gray. We do not want to burn him out, only 17 and plays virtually every minute for us and England U17s as well. We need to use him sparingly and sticking him at RB against a tricky pacey winger could knock his confidence.

Dan James once again put in a shift. Some on here will never take him to heart (possibly because of the Man U connection) but while he’s not a natural goalscorer, his runs down the wing can be both disruptive and deadly.

My view of James has completely turned around.
He's kept toiling away and can rightly start being called 'Renaissance Man' or 'Dan the Man'. Credit where credit's due.

Just watched the game, stretching the buzz out for a bit longer to offset that Monday morning feeling. Got to say Summerville's goals were just pure brilliance, peachy and Pabloesque - what a player he is turning into!

doubt its due to the United connection at all.. prob more to do with the fact his pace appeared (past tense) to be his only attribute.
nothing to do with man U
