Great title for this "Thoughts from Today" thread for today's game! Would you have still used that title if we'd got shafted?
Maybe Gray is being overused? He played during the international break.
Fantastic result, very sweet, great for Farke personally, and really great for the team.
As someone said on the MDT, it's this sort of result that gets you promoted, and we've now climbed to third.
Let's give Stoke a mauling to keep that momentum going!!!

Good point. When I saw the strength of our bench I thought we’d have some good options if needed … I really didn’t think we’d come back from two goals down though and all credit to DF๐
Great win. Our defending was pretty scary first half and we were very scary for opposing defenders both halves. Bit more tweeking and providing we can hold onto Summerville we'll be there abouts I reckon

Yep. I think it was telling that Ayling and Cooper were on the subs bench (until last few mins). It feels like DF is indeed ‘changing the guard’. In the absence of Stuie Dallas, I think Ampadu is the obvious next choice for captain?
Another thought to add (just watched DFs post-match interview on LUTV) - very well done to DF for the tactical decision to play 5 up top and force the win. Risk v Reward๐

Bill, one of my fav Leeds players of recent years but time catches up with everyone and the new kids are queuing up. Think we need a bit more in midfield and defence. Maybe Stu can turn the clock back and help out. Strange that Ampadu not already captain, surely only a matter of time

Summerville is our premature ejaculation he is that good, our dirty little secret. Just looked at his season from last year and players couldn't handle him even then he was just hacked down all the time. Never afforded any protection by refs. Where does Dallas fit in, in this squad? He is primarily a right back but does he start ahead of Spence, Ayling, Gray (I know) or Shackleton?. He can play at left back but ahead of Byram or Firpo or Hjelde?. Midfield Ampadu, Kamara, Gray or Greuv?
And if, like today we are chasing the game and looking for a 10 man attack is Dallas on the pitch?
Not sure Dallas will make the squad on many occasions.
Great win today, absolutely phenomenal to come back from two nil down. Summerville is turning into a player and a half.
Apart from how ace his kit is, got nothing to say about Mes today
Defenders - Gray isint a right back and will never be a right back, frame has a tough decision to make here because Kamara shouldn't be dropped after the last couple of games so Gray needs benching, not because he isn't playing well, but because right now he shouldn't be ahead of the two who played the last couple of games.
Pascal and roden are the first choice pair... bur I just can't help but think if we go up that neither would be good enough, just can't shake that both are perfect examples of players who's level the championship is...
Midfield - as I said kamara and amp are first choice. Summerville is just...wow those goals today.
James is always going to get stick, but the own goal is a perfect example of what you get if you play to his strength, go and watch how he gets that cross in and ask yourself how many players in the league have the pace needed to do that, he is the perfect example of a player who you have to play to his strength cause quite frankly his pace is frightening.
Rutter is ace, nothing more to say.
Piroe... look I get it, he will get goals and that's what a striker should do yada yada yada, but today it was 10 vs 11, guy is a luxury player who we won't be able to afford in the Premier league
The mood around the club has completely turned 180 and the Bielsa-like feel good vibes are definitely here now and I would be quite happy for Farke to be given a ten year contract because his style just resonates and fits so perfectly with Leeds United.
Days like today are what it's all about and what we all love and like to identify with supporting Leeds and you just feel whatever players DF has at his disposal he will always produce an entertaining side that Norwich fans clearly miss his magic touch.....Win, lose or draw it's a joy to watch Leeds again like it was under MB and long may it continue,
I wasn't feeling like "it's a joy to watch Leeds again" at half time!
I get what you're saying and I think Farke is perfect for us right now. The squad is well-rounded and I do think there's a role for Dallas if he can come back at even 90% of the player he was before he had his injury.
Dallas is a Swiss Army knife of a player. Great to have on the bench or in the squad if injuries come in to play with the first choices. I'm sure he'll be content for a while playing that role after the time he's had out of the team.
Nobody mentioned Bamford. Again he looks almost scared to kick the ball. The repeated injuries have messed with his head massively I think.
Sorry to kill the buzz, but until we start to control games more, we are going to see a lot of matches like this, and we won’t always win them. Their disallowed goal could easily have been given and no-one would have complained and our defending for their other two goals was comical. We will not go up simply because we attack better than we defend. A couple of nice, steady 1-0’s and 2-0’s will do fine for me.

๐๐ (all the above - you lot are nearly as mad as I am)
Whilst I think the 100 goals ship may have sailed the 100pts is still on, since the Ipswich game when we started to get the side together we have 20pts from 9 games keep that up and we get 98, with good full backs still to come back we will improve further what astounds me is that some people still don’t see we are that much better than the rest of the league Leicester apart but we will see where we stand with them in two weeks time, only real problems we get are from set pieces but that can be worked on, in the old days at two nil we were dead and buried that was never the case yesterday,
I still think 100 points is a dream Don but I get your point about us being better than the rest (excepting Leicester) … I’ve certainly been guilty of that, maybe conditioned over many decades๐. I’m still rooting for your prediction of only 4 losses this season. Now that would be some achievement๐
Good full backs? I take it that you're referring to Spence rather than Firpo?
Byram seems to be dependable at LB. Gray had a tough game at RB yesterday but maybe he's just playing too much - he played for England three times, I think.
20pts from the last nine games is promotion form. However, yesterday's win, coming from two down at HT to win it in injury time, could be considered as drawing a very clear line in the sand. We've definitely turned the corner under Farke and the new ownership.
I'm really buzzing today!
