DDG could be signing a short term deal

https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1717296223768449270?t=x7fxzFjm55kEq34FkLxLaQ&s=19

Custis is the source so take that with a pinch of salt but there seems to be momentum building behind the idea that we could be offering DDG a return to the club in the new year to cover Onana whilst he's away at AFCON.

Important to stress this is only a rumour at this point so no point getting hysterical about it just yet but what's everyone's opinion if it does turn out to be true?

On the one hand it's better than going with this untested Turkish keeper who apparently isn't that great. Very messy situation it could create though if he comes back in and does well. Nobody would want Onana back in.

This club man.....you just don't know what's around the corner day to day. Let's see if there's any truth to it. 😂

Sound like Bullchit to me

Yeah pretty much. Custis definitely had inside info under the Jose era but that's a long time ago now.

Probably just putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 because DDG has been in Manchester a few times in the last few weeks.

Imagine if it is true though.....Circus continues.

It's crazy to team in any of the top leagues was willing to sign him FOR FREE. And that was United's No. 1?

And people actually thought benching him was an awful decision.

Sadly, there are many "top, highly paid players" who will suddenly wonder why no big names want them. Many players we can't seem to do without will be unusable by our best teams in the league. We have a lot of trash.

Letting go of de Gea was stupid even by the standards of this regime.
