To Dare Is To Do.

Big Ange has taken our motto to heart and has insisted we will play the same way even if we only have 5 men on the pitch.

Think I can live with it.

By the same logic you were almost 2-2 though, Chelsea almost scored 7.

They messed up about 3/4 easy chances before finally scoring.

yes exactly, we backed our keeper against their awful attackers and said that chances are they're not gonna make the most of these attacks. I remember carra have a stat on mnf last season about Alisson making the most 1v1 saves in the league last season and massively outperforming xG in that area, they backed his ability in those situations.

they backed his abilityNo its just liverpool were ridiculously easy to get in behind last year. A team doesn't set up to give away loads of chances. what am i reading

You have to concede space somewhere when you're down to 9, we decided we'd rather have it behind us instead of getting penned in for 60 minutes. If you think that after 30 years of management Ange didn't think Chelsea were gonna get in behind against us playing like that then fair enough I guess

Very worrying if ange has done no sort of work on that scenario. Very worrying.

Also I don't know, maybe do some man management? The red cards were completely avoidable and both should have seen red even earlier. Udogie should have been removed at half time.

If you are happy with it then fair enough

Yes we are happy with it
Remind me where we are in the league, and where you are?

Chris is wound up

Point is there's a big difference between planning to play defensively when you get a red card...

...and having to come up with a system when you've lost three of your regular back four, and your most reliable creative outlet, AND you're down to 9 men.

Bedding in to play defensively for an hour with 9 men and no out-ball would've been suicide just like the high line was. Spurs are not built or coached to play defensively - the last two years have shown how bad Spurs' players are at that style even with 11 men on the pitch and a manager who coaches that style exclusively

Not looking forward to the Wolves game, but love that Ange is installing a much better mentality.

We lost the battle last night, but I would take our position over Chelsea’s any day of the week, our future looks much brighter

That would be because you are a better team or Atleast have finishers. Nothing to do with last nights debacle

But chelsea were getting behind repeatedly at 11 v 11 and 10 v 11. Was suicidal

Well yes, 2nd is better than 10th, and they’re a disjointed mess.
