Lots to be optimistic about after this weeks games against Spurs & City.
Poch & the players deserve a lot of credit
4 points out of 6 , eight goals scored, a credible spine beginning to emerge.
Gallagher & Palmer, in particular stepping up. Jackson building confidence.
Yesterdays high intensity performance against City was only a matter of time, a solid 90m reaction after the chaotic win at 3PL.
As we go into the international break the prospect of a two week recovery seems welcome.
At this point Cfc supporters can be comfortable with the knowledge that there is a decent side gradually emerging. Personally, imo, if we can keep this group together and add a 20 goal a season striker and a world class keeper, we will be good enough to mount a top 4 challenge next season,
The games against Liverpool, Afc, Spurs & City have all shown that on the occasion this squad can go toe to toe with the best in the league
But that is not what challenging for a top 5 place requires , they have to maintain the level for 90 minutes, over 38 games and begin to be seen as a threat opposed to , "you know what we can turn this lot over".
The next three games Newcastle, Brighton & United will be the measure of where we are at. These three sides are no mugs, hopefully our injury woes will have begun to finally ease.
A welcome air of positivity for the owners
Exciting times ahead.

A Red comes in peace. Palmer, what a player, £40M+ purchase, you robbed them!
Best game I’ve ever seen Sterling play, no matter what the colour of his shirt. He was MOTM for me.

I think we may well buy in the next window, the long awaited striker. If not then they have one lined up for the summer, maybe a keeper too. They may hold off on that striker though given we are a little less goal shy currently. You know the owners, difficult to predict.
Dear Sandy, I personally promise not to spend any money on players over the next two windows. Can't stop those in charge though.

Congratulations for going into the International break 10 points behind Spurs, after spending a billion in 12 months.
Making great progress.

I've seen worse relegate us, that aside, we made you blow your best chance of winning a title since the older members amongst us were in nappies.
