Everyone at Celtic from the players, to the board, the manager and the major share-holders has come in for some justified criticism over the reasons for the teams poor start to the season. But Peter Lawell is the individual who has generally been the target for the most of that criticism. Surely if he has any concern for his job not to mention his over all welfare he will not allow any impediments to get in the way of Neil Lennon acquiring his preferred targets this January transfer window and shoring up a defence which has leaked like a sieve for almost a decade and has been ignored for long enough.

It is now over to you Mr Lawell, and if the next transfer window passes and this sore is not addressed and the team still are well behind in the league, then out of all the individuals at Celtic it is you, rightly or wrongly who will carry the most of the burden of blame, and when the fans congregate outside the stadium to vent their disaprovement, as they inevitably will, then it is you who will be the main focus of their anger.
