Whether youβre Ten Hag in or out (and Iβm very much Ten Hag out), those stats are diabolical for us when you see some of the attacks that are out scoring ours (and Luton of all sides just one goal behind ours).

Doubt the booze helps either.
Happy birthday, mate. Hope you have a good one.

Cheers! I actually never touch a drip during the week so have been sober through all our CL games. But I'm just very highly strung and get too emotionally involved π. Honestly, watching a United cliff hanger in midweek, my adrenaline levels are at the same level as if I'd been playing 5 a side! π

Just checked and in the 21/22 season we scored & conceded 57, finishing with a GD of 0.
The LvG period is interesting by comparison. We get into much better positions under ETH than we were under LvG but the quality is simply not there. Under LvG we arguably had more quality in attack but everything was so, so slow that it didn’t really matter.
I still can’t believe that we’ve spent £200m on the RW (Antony, Sancho, James, Amad) and still don’t have the position sorted out.

It's points not goals that are important.

So how do go about getting “points” if you can’t score more goals than your opponent? especially when we are also conceding quite a lot of goals at present.

We've only won by more than a single goal on one occasion too. Depressing

Do you not think there is a correlation between the two??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No. Winning some games by lots of goals is great, and I wish we could do it often. But if you lose the next game you have three points. The team that wins one nil, followed aby a nil all draw has four points. And that scenario happens, winning is all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Whilst there is some merit to this, Saturday is a good example of a game we could've easily taken 3 points if we could score goals.
Instead we lose 3-0, because we cannot score and we cannot defend.

Imagine where United would be without the goalscoring prowess of McTominay.

Apart from a spell at the start of Mourinho's second season, the only time where we've been able to score three or more goals with any frequency since Ferguson has been under Ole. Really grim for Man Utd.
