Eric Ten out vs Neville

Gary "Worst Manager Ever" Neville at Valencia:
28 games
11 losses
39 goals
38 goals conceded
With Mustafi in his team

Erik "Eras Come To An End" Ten Hag this season at Man Utd:
24 games
12 losses
35 goals
39 goals conceded
After spending 60m on Mount, 45m on Onana and 70m on Hojlund and bringing back 35 year.

Now, let me start by saying I have not fact checked Neville's record but I am certain of our managers record.

There comes a time in life, it is time to stop the drugs and wake up, this manager is out of his depth, he is bereft of good ideas. Yes, the Glazers, in an ideal world we all want them to go, they are however going nowhere. I have little hope of this Jim fella doing sweet all for us, I reiterate we needed the Qatar man!

In saying all this, structure or no structure, this manager has been backed and given the money to go out and challenge: he done himself by purchasing this diabolical keeper. Wasted money on Mount and the most shocking one, Antony. I tell you now this guy is Bebe level.

IT IS TIME TO GO!

I know you only really get super active on here when there’s drama - you seem to love a managerial merry-go-round and that’s really quite fine. But I’m genuinely quite surprised if you’re this tactically ignorant. The reason our midfield gets opened up is not to do with any one individual, and certainly not the deepest lying midfielder. We have issues on the transition due to our quick turnovers in possession leaving us vulnerable, in combination teething issues in the press coordination out of possession where our two aggressive pressing 8’s will leave the single pivot isolated (that’s Amrabat in the last few games) once the press has been successfully beaten.

I agree with this. Casemiro struggles there and so does Amrabat, it is the tactics of this dire manager.

In stating this, Amrabat has not been our best player, not even remotely close.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Who would you say has been better across the last three or so games than Amrabat? Maguire? He’s been pretty consistent in fairness. McTominay obviously had a blinder against Chelsea, but was one game. He was a mess against Bournemouth and not great last night.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact we are discussing who is the best out of these jokers in itself is an issue.

Even Steve McClaren for a few weeks until we can find someone
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This will be most likely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you think he'd do?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not very well. At least he speaks fluent Dutch.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

It would be a seamless transition.

The problem with bringing a new man in is that they will want their own players and you are left trying to offload a monumental amount of schitt - are you going to give the new guy 3 or so seasons to get the squad right?

Are you going to get rid of the likes of Onana immediately?

How long did it take Fergie to turn the bloated United corpse around? United need to find someone they are happy with and stick with them for a long time - a project manager like Poch would have been ideal, but it means no trophies for 3/4/5 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who says it has to be a man?

Sarina until the end of the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did it take Ange 3 seasons to have a clear style of play with players inferior to the ones we have now? Did it take that long for the Brighton manager, Eddie Howe. Excuses, excuses and excuses for this manager.

Mctominay
Martial
Dalot
Bruno
Rashford

You can ship all these shower of sh** in 2 transfer windows and still have a style of play. It is this manager that made Bruno his captain and won't bench Rashford. A player that against City I saw with my very eyes the OT faithful booing due to his lack of effort. This manager then comes to waffle that Sancho is not running. If Rashford is not running in from of 75k people, do you believe he is running at Carrington?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean, he just has benched Rashford hasn't he?

The comparison with Spurs under Conte are quiet close.

Season 1, it took a bit of time but the improvements became quite clear, particularly the results. The performances were not always convincing, there were still some clear issues that needed addressing but results were strong, the season ended ok and there was optimism for the next season, to kick on.

Summer signings were good/OK.

Season 2. The results begin ok but the performances are poor. Whatever fluidity and plan that was working last season no longer does. Quite a number of players were under performing, there was no sense of enjoyment and fans became very restless and much of this aimed at the owners.

Eventually poor performances catch up and the results go down hill and from then on the situation cannot be recovered.

At Spurs it was a toxic spiral and while fans can rightly point the finger at the owners, and the poor decisions and transfer made, the manager is hugely complicit in the failure on the pitch.

Fast forward and what you can see with Spurs is that some players under Conte, who got regular game time, were not good enough and are now gone or fringe. Others who were not given enough of a chance or were under performing are actually delivering to a high level. All this while losing a big star in Kane.

United should not be afraid of getting rid of ETH and any big name who thinks they are untouchable.

I really wanted Spurs to sack Conte and get a new man in well before the end of the season to give them time to assess before being decisive in the summer window. We didnt and it hasnt worked out too badly so far but if Ange had had that chance, may be the squad would have been reinforced a bit more than it was.

I cannot see any way back for ETH so identify the new man, entice him in for the post-winter break season, give him some months to look at what he has, while making it clear to the players this is make it or break it time for them, and hit the ground running next summer. Be ruthless!

I agree that Eth is out of his depth but not really sure what the fix is either to be honest.

Our squad is loaded with average players. Our best player (on form) is Maguire.
We've purchased mid table players on insane contracts.

Sent too soon.

Eth can't get these players to play well, clearly.

But sacking him, will it fix anything? Who will come in? The new man that comes in, will want his own players.. the cycle will continue.

The cycle needs to start some time. You said yourself he's out of his depth and the players are average.

There cannot be many fans who think this will pick up and end well, and ETH is the man to bring success.

Let Sir Jim get his feet under the table, identify your man and then make the move ASAP, that the cycle running!

The transfers have been poor overall, but by all accounts his first choice options we’ve been unable to secure. De Jong and Kim in particular would massively improve us.

Under ole we missed out on Jude Bellingham ffs. He also suggested Haaland at £4m.

The clubs recruitment has to improve, simple as that.
