OXFORD UNITED v DERBY COUNTY League 1 #23 |
Friday 1945 29th Dec 2023, The Kassam Stadium |
A pleasing away day tenacious win at Wigan which we made far more difficult than it really was - the result was never in doubt once the ref had blown the final whistle - is followed by a FRIDAY game at a varsity city Oxford - relax these varsity universities are not a patch on the red brick ones.
Another away sell out for the Rams on the road - it is pretty incredible to see in Division 3 - but hey, we're here on merit and money, so no moaning.
A win could catapult us to 2nd - a loss could take us a nice 8th - all depending on other results. So don't get your hopes up.
Oxford are on the back of massive morale boosting varsity city derby victory against......er.....some other team and sit level on points with us. It will not be an easy game and I don't know which way to call it.
On a more personal not - you don't have to read this - but I'm getting a little bit perturbed with JA606. After non-combatative comments on the Florest/Newcastle MT, I get blocked - i.e. unable to comment anymore but they (I'm not going to insult them because I do not personally know them) are allowed to keep making barbs about l'il ole me - not the first time either. Admin 1 (and yes, we've established that you are a Florest fan and I respect that) - is this fair? (you have my email address)
