No Messi , Ronaldo and Lewandoski, Suarez were all better thats where the discussion for the elite players of that year IMO.

And the pros agreed, they had Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Ronaldo, Griezman and Vardy as better than him

Auba outscored Ronaldo, Suarez and Lewandoski Their figures were made to look like chump change.

The way you continually change the parameters for "elite" makes this confusing. One minute it was THE best, then it was a group and you couldn't just have Haaland, then Osimhen is in for 26 goals, but Auba is out for 31 goals and outscoring his peers??

Hard to keep up with you, tbh.

And Haaland has only scored more than 10 goals twice in his 8 PL seasons anyway

Would also point out Lacazette oustscored Osimhen last season, yet you would say Osimhen is elite?? Despite being outscored in by far his best goal scoring season by someone who clearly isn't elite.

I said he is in the argument, so now your happy to use figures from different leagues... I never compared different leagues for that reason, you wanted me to use same leagues for comparing goals scored did you not?? thats double staqndards.

the facts are the facts in the year in question the players I mentioned were voted for by their peers who are far more credible than you or I had Ronaldo, Messi, Griezmann, Suarez, Neymar, Vardy etc.. as better than Aub.

Iv never changed the parameters for elite... Iv said to be elite you need to be considered the best and Aub was never in that argument at any point in his career.

You can have elite playes in specific positions also.

but like I said people far more qualified and respected than us two already gave their opinion and in their opinion he was never in the discussion against the likes of Ronaldo and Messi. It was already decided, and the decision was he wasnt elite.
