I hope that the move to West Ham re-ignites his career.
What an awful move Man City proved to be in terms of playing matches.
Yes earns money, yes can say has medals, but they're not medals from really playing, much as I like him, he's hardly contributed to Man City success.
I always though would be great to him and Rice in same team in league, ironic that he's moving to fill Rice's boots effectively.
Hope that he does well at West Ham, and for England and that we'll see him at Elland Road soon!
Good luck Kalvin!

Just don't understand the 'not good enough for this level' and 'Out of his depth' comments.
Being voted the best England player at Euro '20 by England fans seems to suggest heavily in his favour and him getting regular PL football will see him playing for England in the summer - At 28 Kalvin's in his prime.

I meant good enough for Man City, Rev

Think he is good enough when injury free and allowed a run in the side, but yes Rodri is a hard act to dislodge.

I honestly dont think people realise the fitness levels, top footballers need to be at now.
Barely played for 2 years, and people expect players just to come back and firing straight away.
Same with Bamford, now had abit of run of games, and is back.
it was the right move for Leeds, man city and phillips.
It just hasnt worked out, for a host of reasons.

Phillips and O'Kane were on the same level.
Now that made me laugh

I just don’t think they scouted him well enough. From what I’ve read, after a few training sessions they didn’t think he had the ability to play the way they do. I think most Leeds fans could have told them that having watched him for 6 years.
The role under Bielsa was tailor made for all his strengths, his brilliant long passing, tackling and covering, but he’s never been a Rodri or Busquets style player that Pep likes as a CDM, receiving the ball with 3 players around him and turning out and playing.

Moyes has been after him for 2 years so he clearly knows his strengths and will use KP appropriately and I expect KP will prove a lot of his critics wrong by just doing what he does best, keeping it simple, keeping the play flowing and picking out an excellent pass to create and assist for the West Ham forwards.

Good luck to him now, but still feels to me like we got relegated due to selling him to sit on City's bench.
He will be financially secure for life though, so I do understand his moving.

I should have said "partially feels to me..."

Really hoping this move gets Kalvin's career back
on track. One of my favourite players from MB's team.
Guarantees I'll be watching every West Ham game.
