It's just the universally accepted description of them lot.

I was going to ask one of the older local fans, when this came about.

First time I came across it was in the early 2000's on the BBC 606 from a poster called GaryNevillstache.

I remember those days well. 😂

Don't think the saying originated on the old 606 though although that would be amazing if it did. I'm fairly sure people from round here had called them bin dippers before that but I could be wrong. 😂
