Mostly positive performance last night. I liked what we did in the first half obviously minus the two errors. We really pressed them and boxed them in at times and we got to see why Eric Dier is so poor on a number of occasions just shanking the ball to nobody. Odegaard was excellent and I thought Saka had Davies on toast in the first half shame we didn't see too much of that in the second half.
Onto the less good stuff I don't want to be too harsh on Kiwior because he's come into a position that is not his own and done ok for the most part as we saw just ok is not good enough at the highest level. In the short and long term I think Arteta has got a decision to make about left back obviously long term it looks like Timber will be there but we've got to see how he comes back from his injury that may become an area we need to look at in the summer. Also in the short term Arteta has got to think carefully who he puts there I must admit with every game that passes I am disliking Zinchenko even more not just for his lack of ability in defending but he's slow on the ball and just kills the tempo. That leaves Tomyasiu who I think is the best bet until the end of the season.
Trossard again proved the saviour I am a big admirer of Martinelli but he's got to buck his ideas up I thought he was really poor yesterday he's coming back from injury so there is a bit of mitigation but I don't think he's had a good season, need to see some improvement.
Decisions to make

They won the treble last season and also played in the world club championship. Don't think our players are in that category.

When are we going to rest Odegaard and Kai
Their performance is falling away from exhaustion.
I say bring Jesus and ESR for the Villa game.

Havertz is shiiit and yea resting Ode at this stage of the season is just a dumb idea

So what, run Odegaard into the ground?
And you are brain dead if you think Havertz is sheet given his numbers for Arsenal this season.

Yes run him into the ground. There are 7 games to go in the league and in all likelihood, only 1 game left in Europe. Imagine throwing the title away because Odegaard might be a little tired. Genius logic

Odegaard has to play every minute that we're not seeing out games with a decent lead. We have nobody that can do what he does.

Agree The Skins and Bats over Odegaard. There is no way we can rest him.

Short term wise, it's just about managing the players playing every few days. The likes of Saliba, Gabriel, Rice, Havertz, Odegaard, probably White and possibly Saka are going to have to play a lot of minutes because we have about 6 or 7 players who cant play 90 minutes consistently.
Trossard could probably play more than he is but with 6 goals from the bench this season, I can understand the desire to utilise him from there but I'd start him up front vs Villa with Martinelli on the left (resting Jesus and moving Haverz back into mf as those guys sort or swap a lot anyway)

A lot depends on how you expect Villa to set up. If you think they are going to play a deep block, you can set up with Havertz as no.8 and Jesus as the striker, with Trossard wide. Basically how you finished against Bayern. Believe it or not, that is somewhat resting Havertz because he doesn't have to cover the same amount of ground as he does when playing false 9.

They are missing Kamara and Luiz so I think they'll just have McGinn so I kind of expect Emery to sit back and then release Watkins, Bailey and maybe Diaby in 3 on 3 counter attacks which is also why I like the idea of Rice at DM. We shall see though, Emery I'm sure will be desperate to spoil things for us though.
