Who replaces Casemiro?

I think everyone agrees that Casemiro should leave this summer. So, who should replace him?

⭐️ - Amadou Onana
⭐️⭐️ - Adam Wharton
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Joao Gomes
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Morten Hjulmand
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Joao Neves

Please comment for any other suggestions. I genuinely can’t think of many other standout candidates.

I wish we'd gone for Locatelli when he left Sassuolo. I think he'd still be a good option and he's still a good age.

If their injuries weren't a concern, there's Bennacer and Exequiel Palacios too.

There really aren't too many standout options which seems to be true of a number of positions at the moment.

Locatelli’s pretty average now isn’t he?

Yeah I've heard his form hasn't been the best but I've seen him show glimpses in some of the games I've seen of Juventus this season and I think there's still a player there.

I'm not sure whether the role change has had a big impact or whether it's playing under Allegri but I think a new lease of life in a different environment could see him flourish again.

With that being said the current environment at United wouldn't exactly help him.

Hasn’t there been quite a bit of noise about the Saudis wanting Casemiro? No idea if it’s true but he’s the exact profile they love. Same goes for Varane.

The trickier ones to move on will be Rashford, Sancho, Antony and Slabhead.

Realistically, Sancho either goes on loan again or we make a big loss on him. I can't see any of the other 3 moving on - Rashford will still be considered a possible starter, Maguire will be seen as a solid squad member and wages issue, Antony no-one else will want and fee issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sancho might come back yet. No way we will write off a huge chunk of Sanchos fee, or pay him £150k per week to play for someone else.

The owners will expect the manager
to make these players work.

Not sure playing outside Italy would be a good new environment for an Italian anyway. He’d miss his Mamma and Nonna too much.

Best midfielder in the league.

We won't be signing a 32 year old to replace a 32 year old.

He’s the German Modric. He’s still got years left in him.
