Spurs' Summer Activity

Key Squad (16)

Vicario / Forster
Porro / Romero / VDV / Dragusin / Udogie
Bissouma / Bentancur / Sarr
Maddison / Bergvall
Son / BJ / Kulusevski / Richarlison

Fringe Players

Solomon
Phillips

Priority Sales

Holjbjerg - The guy wants to go! £15m
GLC - 1 year left, not sure he'd re-sign given little game time - £15m
Rodon - Doing well at Leeds (£15m)
Reguillon - Done pretty well at Brentford (£10m)
Spence - Been ok at Genoe (£6m)
NDombele - Please God someone take him, we'll pay you!
Sessegnon - Sick note whose contract ends this summer
Gil - He is to the PL what Eurovision is to music. £8m
Tanganga - Found his level in mid Championship - £5m

Possible £70-75m in money IN.

Players to Move on if directly replaced

Emerson - Decent RB, but doesnt suit the inverted FB role (£10m)
Davies - Good reliable adaptable pro, but also doesnt suit modern role (£5m)
Skipp - Decent pro, an OK squad option, HG (£10m)

Would sell for a very decent offer

Richarlison - Had a decent season, messed up by injury - Would need to get our money back - £60m
Kulusevski - Hot & cold, hasnt flourished in an Ange team - £40m
Bissouma - Needs to maintain his levels as he dipped massively after AFCON, although there may be reasons for this - £40m

Priority Positions Needed

Forward - Natural mobile striker who can offer goals, physicality, hold & link up play.

CM/DM - Dynamic midfielder with discipline to hold the defensive midfield role, but some ability on the ball. Will also need the legs to cope with Angeball. Also some physical presence to assist at set pieces.

LW - Quality pacey attacker who can beat a man and has a goal in him. Son's heir!

CB - Pacey cover for VDV

Academy Players to train with squad

Mikey Moore (AM)
Dane Scarlett (FWD)
Jamie Donley (AM)
Alfie Devine (AM)
Alfie Dorrington (CB)

Got to be buying a backup keeper. Ortega showed why it is imperative.

Ederson/ortega

Allison/kelleher

raya/ramsdale

pope/dubravka

kepa/petrovic/sanchez

onana/altay

martinzez/olson

Whiteman, austin have had zero experience of playing. Forsters legs are gone his performance against Fulham was one of the worst i have ever seen in my life.

Someone like Butland home grown, cheaper and in the form of his life to push Big Vic.

Yep we need to fill 7 positions as I listed earlier. Doubt it will be done in one window but it would nice for one of own to step in a fill a spot or two.

we're probably gonna have to make some compromises somewhere because of the club trained restrictions

might have to use deki as a backup for maddison again even though he hasn't impressed there, ditto for son backing up Richy again. maybe only signing one traditional fullback and then expecting a CB to provide cover there too.

I'm curious to see where we choose to sacrifice some quality depth

we would not be able to register this squad for UEFA competition unless two of those new signings were club trained and an additional one of them was homegrown, to give you a sense of the restrictions.

That’s some hard restrictions to deal with.

Maybe be that’s why we are after Walker peters

yeah I think at this point KWP or Skipp as the 4th FB is pretty essential.

and then because they are a bit underwhelming you would want someone who can cover at both RB and LB at a high level, making KWP/Skipp effectively the 3rd choice FB on both sides

That guy at Luton perhaps?

Troy Parrott is now 22 and would count as club trained as well. Could be used a 3rd choice striker.

Association trained players: Fraser Forster, Ben Davies, Ryan Sessegnon, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Ashley Phillips.

Club trained players: Brandon Austin, Alfie Whiteman, Oliver Skipp, Troy Parrott, Japhet Tanganga.

Notable Under-21s players: Alfie Dorrington, Jamie Donley, Dane Scarlett, Alfie Devine.

We need 4 club trained players for the Europe squad.

Saw a great comment online yday that we should sign Riccardo Calafiori who can play left back and left CB and Archie Gray from Leeds who can play right back and DM.

We could fill 4 spots and sign two exciting prospects. Both would not be cheap but doable.

I hope we continue to look at Jordan James of Brum too.
