Mayor of London strikes again

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13559929/Sadiq-Khan-TfL-ban-taxi-drivers-flying-England-flag-Euros.html

If I was a black cabbie I would defy the mayor and tell him where he can stick this rule

I've always wondered how long it will take everyone to realise that Red666 is by far and away the most stupid individual on ja606. He gets nowhere near enough recognition for it tbh.

If he was clever enough to be stupid enough during the latter months of the year then he would be in contention for surfer of the year but I believe he is too stupid to be that stupid at that particular time.

Khan out.

It's not a new phenomenon, but it still amazes me that people can read through a thread which clearly debunks a piece of crude disinformation, and all they see is the lie because it confirms their engrained beliefs.

It's particularly associate with the post-truth Right, because lying is the MO of nationalist populism, but we're all susceptible to it. Plenty of examples of liberal-left people falling for fake stories that ring true about Tories and Brexiteers as well.

What is everyone's views on cis gender males competing in the Olympics?

https://www.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/1dol948/why_is_he_even_allowed_to_compete/

If we allow cis gender males to compete at the olympics after being convicted of RAPE of a child then what hope is there left?

RR, that for me was the main point, I originally wasn't aware that this policy had been introduced previously, it didn't change my mind on it but when I read that it had been in place for 12yrs and had been done by BJ and his cohorts I thought that would put the "Khan did this or that" to bed?

Sadly not

A lie that is provocative will get thousands of likes, shares and comments on social media.

A comment/post correcting the lie will get far fewer attention and not by those believing the lie. Only those who seek to clear it up.

So it is massively beneficial to just lie. About anything you want.

At this point, a provocative lie effectively becomes truth. In the sense it matters. It is the truth to more people than it is a lie so it is effectively more true than the opposite.

Does there need to be punishment for misleading articles? Or does that already exist? If you were to create a Red666 all from scratch in a day people would be like what the hell are you doing? That's irresponsible and dangerous. But there is no action against creating one over time through small lies to create his overall form more gradually.
