Nae France if we win the group

Ooooft

Lots of gum flapping about England - France have finished behind Austria - even with Mbappe getting his first ever Euros goal. They scored twice in the group stage by the way.

The Dutch have finished 3rd and conceded 4, scoring 3.

Englands potential opponents next round could be Netherlands, Turkey, Czechs if we in the group.

If we win the group, we can’t play France until the final - they are now the same side of the draw as Spain, Germany and Portugal - also very likely Belgium and potentially the Dutch also.

England and Italy suddenly looking at a clear path.

Fingers crossed tonight for a very dull and uninteresting 1-0 England win

Just spent a while figuring out the permutations.

So basically, IF the Czechs don't beat Turkey then England will face the Netherlands.

If the Czechs do win then England will face third in the Belgium group which would likely be Slovakia or Romania, more likely Slovakia unless they win that game. Assuming Belgium beat Ukraine.

Turkey have won the last three meetings with the Czechs, only losing two of the last eight meetings.

England are favorites with the bookies now

England - 4/1
France/Germany/Spain - 9/2
Portugal - 11/2
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Means absolutely nothing. The odds only reflect the betting.
Too many idiots putting money on England.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Striketeams bets alone England's odds down from 10/1
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I could cash out on a large profit then

Replace could with should and you'd be right

Whatever happens, England have once again stunk out an international tournament with negative anti football. Why oh why can’t we for once attack on the front foot and show the world how successful we have been in developing creative players like foden and Bellingham? Why do we have to find ‘a natural replacement for Calvin Phillips’? Why do we have to play with two dm’s at all?

Fed up with watching England play conte/mourinho ball. We’ve never won anything trying this, so just for once, why don’t we play with a swagger that the country can get behind

It’s all so very very dull and we will bore our way out on penalties in the next round playing like this.

Yeah exactly that - everything hangs on the Czechs vs Turkey. Both have been poor so far, Turkey needed 2 worldies to see if Georgia and even then they were hanging on. They were then atrocious against Portugal. The Czechs very nearly took a point of Portugal, succumbing late on. They were then poor against Georgia - but this Georgia side are half decent.

The other out there scenario is that Portugal have already won the group and will rest players tonight - Georgia will qualify for the knockouts with a win - they have been better than many thought and Portugal just aren’t going to care - so you never know

Portugal resting players isn't going to make any difference, their bench is as strong as their first eleven.

You could actually make an argument that they are a better team without CR7 leading the line.

Sure but I watched a side thats been in 3 of the last 4 World Cup/Euros finals struggle and fail to beat an already eliminated Poland yesterday. It defied logic.

If he makes wholesale changes then they might struggle and this Georgia side just runs and runs. A 1-0 win could happen - but I agree it’s very unlikely
