I left your cold shores in 2020 but prior to that I lived under 10 years of Tory rule after the quite bountiful Blair/Brown era (apart from that whole Iraq thing, sorry Arab) and every year things seemed to get worse.
I have my issues with Starmer and feel he’s not quite the answer to the question but he at least deserves a chance after seeing 14 years of quite breathtaking shocking levels of depravity and idiocy with the Conservatives. Just how bad will this defeat be for the Tories? Will it be the biggest win ever and will we ever see the Tories make a comeback? Or will they have to buddy up with a far right group like Reform or some other bastardised version in the future to claw back any semblance of power?
Adios Tories, you truly were awful, don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.
24 hours left of the Tories

You have to be brave to vote for reform.
Not stupid.

You're not wrong. Takes guts to vote for a party whose leader once lost a local election to a man dressed as a dolphin.

You have to be Gold Standard Stupid to vote for Reform in the first place. 😹
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or maybe just duped by their simplistic populist 'contract' Their economic policies are illiterate. Anyone with a passing interest in ecomonics will testify.
But they know they've no chance of actually being elected so can put forward whatever nonsensical policies they want. Sadly many people (much like Ukip, Brexit Party before them) will fall for their garbage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We all know who’s going to win, my main hope now is that Farage doesn’t get a seat at the table
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn’t worry too much about that.
It’s a very large table, and he won’t bother turning up anyway. One of the lowest attendances in parliament as an MEP, and he wouldn’t be any different in the Commons.
We’d probably hear less from him than we do now.

From 4 years ago, some interesting comments below.

Labour taught a lesson and thoroughly whooped into line. Decimated in the last election for not being pro-semitic enough, heading for unprecedented victory after apologising unreservedly and backing genocide.

Unfortunately I believe polling has him winning by a good 15%.
He knew what he was doing when he selected Clacton of all places.

As Farage is just taking the script from the Trump playbook... It'll be a stolen election, no doubt.
