What could have been...............

I know the game isn't 'played on paper', but if we play a little bit of 'devil's advocate' and said, this season, attacking-wise, we could have been looking at:

Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho, Martial, Sancho, Greenwood, Bruno, Mainoo, I'm sure most of us would have thought, wow, that looks amazing, we would terrorise defences.

Obviously injuries and other circumstances play a part, but it just shows it's not just about having physically fit players, but also mentally tough ones who can cope with the pressure of both being at Utd and producing week in week out at PL level.

And of course it's about a manager being able to blend all that together (that's not a jibe at ETH, there's been enough of that, just generally speaking).

Hopefully what is left from above can gel together and new additions will add to that, but there is a little bit of what might have been / should have been with above.

I dont think Sancho could 'terrorise' a PL defence in a United shirt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Neither could Mainoo. No idea why he is on the OP's list of attackers when he is a midfield player.

And most United fans were not alive the last time Martial terrorised anyone.

It's just a general list of players, who offer us decent attacking capability - chill out man

Maybe not now, but at some point in the various careers, they showed potential, and now some more proven that others

If you can't take the criticism don't put people on lists that should not be on them.

I can take criticism. I would just say that as a midfielder I see Mainoo as adding to our attacking threat - hardly rocket science. In terms of terrorise, I mean our players as a whole, not just as individuals.

You just seem a bit grumpy quite honestly

Nothing to do with being grumpy.

It is to do with idiotic statements regarding our players.

I guess if you feel the need that I have made an idiotic statement, so be it. You could just say i disagree with you. I don't see how saying that Mainoo, even as a midfielder, can be considered an attacking threat for us is idiotic, but I bow to your obvious superior know-how

if you have watched him play then you would be observing that he isn't that much of an attacking threat so far.

He certainly isn't part of a collective that terrorize defences.

We can agree to disagree. I feel he can be part of an attacking unit that can cause problems. He seems to have an ability to glide past players and is looking o be on the front foot all the time. Is it early days - of course it is. And at Utd he maybe has played a less attacking role, but there's no doubt for me that he possesses an attacking threat.

But we can agree to disagree without making it too personal.
